Tesla Coils = Ultimate toy for those into electricity, must wear hearing protection and a special suit when with these bigger coils, but they are fun. Any HV tinker you find, loves these things. And as long as you take some safety consideration, they are not dangerous. Nikola Tesla was just amazing. Google him if you dont believe me.

I have played with high voltage Van De Graff generators and would advise you to have a discharge wand or a metal plate of some sort protecting any areas of your body where there might be a discharge.

lightning can move faster than the eye can see, there are about20x more lightning blots in the sky than we see, once it connects to something, it loses enegry and cantravels slower or spreads apart and showing itself naking it look like lightning isnt in the first foot of the coil
