Does anyone know when you get to fight the deviljho, altreon, and jhen moran? are they online only quests?

They're all online only. To fight Jhen Mohran you have to be HR30 or higher, Deviljho starts showing up randomly once you begin doing high rank quests, i.e. 4 star quests and higher (bar fights against elder dragons), and Alatreon is the final end-game monster for the online mode.

@SuperWes64 Nah, it's just in Deserted Island (not against Great Jaggi, he has his own theme). If you fight Qurupeco (Bird) in the Sandy Plains he has the Sandy Plains battle theme I believe.

@Keinichn ...or a Rathian that doesn't even land--it strafed my brother, instantly killed him, and that was his last life for the quest. From his perspective, it was terrible, but from my perspective, it pretty darn funny. :)

@DemonArchfiend It died a very horrible death when my bro killed it, that was for sure. He fought it in Moga Woods, and he butchered it with a Switchaxe. He killed it before it got the chance to take a single step. Literally. It was standing there looking, he came up on it, started hitting it, and hit it until it died. It hit him a couple times, but never charged or flew away. Never got to take one step. He did a lot of that stamina using swinging too. Hack hack hack! Dead.

Well, if it is attempting a dance (healing, attack/def increase) you can cause the blighter too not only drop a tear, but the bonus will go to you and your allies.

Don't bother. If this is your first time hunting Quero it is a lost cause as the SA is too dull to even harm quero. I did this quest with sword and shield, great sword would make it easier. Make sure you have green sharpness and a couple traps + bombs will help too. He's pretty difficult to beat the first time around namely because he can fly very far away (unlike the great jaggi which typically only moves 1 area away from you when fleeing). Time consumption is the major problem.
