  • The reason for the brewing commercial real estate collapse is the same as housing market collapse. All of this was/is based on the expectation in good times when values and in particular land values are going up. The value of improvements do not increase but land value does. Is there any doubt that this kind of activity is of no real value to the economy since nothing new is produced only the cost of assets increase. Is it not time to question the validity of real estate speculation?
