I liked the start credits for Thunderbirds because you got a preview of the episode before you actually watched it. I wish all TV shows would do that.
I have just seen this. What a treat - it's like seeing the tv series for the first time again. I'm off to see if there is similar treatment of Thunderbird 6.
a new desires would be great, but not like the cgi of the new captain scarlet, IF they really want to make it with cgi they should go with the quality the use for the shrek movies, or use the puppets, better actors compares to the movies they made with real peoples.
I reckon it would make a good TV episode cut down to 50 mins or so...by cutting out some of the tedious Zero-X assembly sequence and Alan's dream, for example...any takers??
I've only just seen this for the first time so it's a late comment but I understand that they deliberately left the possibility that the Hood had survived so that he could continue to appear in the Thunderbirds stories in TV21 which went on long after the film's release.
Not difficult: for the background, just find a suitable still, then for the characters, another still frame, remove the background then save as a GIF file, then overlay that on top of the background. For the blanked out version, you take the GIF image, set the colour depth to Black and White to make the silhouette, the reset the colour depth, recolour then overlay that on the back ground. then bob's your uncle
It's a good film, don't get me wrong. In fact I'd like to see the original as filmed which was significantly longer. I just thought it would be interestin g to see whether the story would work in the episode format. Certainly trimming out the 'Dream' sequence would bring it down towards standard length. I might try that some time.
Ah yeah, there was about 15 minutes more material where the Space Exploration Centre are trying to persuade Jeff to let the Thunderbirds be at the launching for the second Zero-X. I wonder if those scenes are still lying in someones attic...

Actually looks like it was an episode opening, I kind of laughed at how it's got "Saboteur, The Hood" haha

The Zero-X assembly is a visual wonder, with the Barry Gray's March, remenber me the waltz of the Station V in 2001 A Space Odissey.

This is actually stupidly good. I couldn't tell the difference if the actual production crew had made this. x

Excellent.
Frankly, I'd put that scene of Zero-X and the Lifting bodies in formation flight against anything on SyFy today!

We could lose Alan's Dream, agreed, but Zero-X Tedious? NO WAY!!!
QuackVideo 3 years ago
Well, 'TAG!' is more or less 'Operation Crashdive' bith with the Zero-X instead of the Fireflash and some padding....

thats pretty spot on actually

I love the Feature Film Thunderbirds are go but its to bad the hood had his big death in it
joedav63 3 years ago
But do we KNOW he's dead?
Just because Penelope didn't bother looking for survivors, doesn't mean there weren't any
QuackVideo 3 years ago
i aways hated the hood he was such a pest to internatiaol rescue even though the tracys did meet him face to face
(except in thunderbirds are go)

@QuackVideo Wasn't he in the Thunderbird 6 film which followed?
Blue4eva97 9 months ago
@Blue4eva97 That was the Black Phantom. Generally, the Hood worked alone. This character was leading a gang, so I don't think it was the Hood
QuackVideo 9 months ago
@QuackVideo The people that murdered the Airship One dudes were paid agents of the hood that was it lol

This is GREAT! That is very very clever. I personally think that it should still be a film but with these titles.

Yes, well done! Are you implying that the film should really have been 50 minutes and was a trifle too long? :)
