it was only later ported to the ps2 with minor updates such as a new bride ability to chose child gender

BUT it had problems that made it much worse such as a drop in graphics to a level that has been called "bland and muddy" and a HIGHTY noted drop in framerate(it can be seen in the few YouTube videos about it)
