This was the first Bad Religion song I ever listened to. Started listening maybe 5 years ago, my dad dumped a fuckload of MP3s onto my hard drive and part of it was about half of BR's discography. Started sifting through, hit Random and loaded all the files in, from all the bands I got from him. Most songs got skipped/deleted. This song stuck out. Thank God it did. Thank God for Bad Religion.

The lyrics on The Dissent of Man are still good, but thats it, only good. The guitar is middle of the road, been there, done that.
The drums are too silent and not up to standard. The whole thing is OVERPRODUCED. sadly

Dookie is an amazing album, however Kerplunk! was far better.

@pbrskater26 Green Day isn't pop. I love them both, Bad Religion and Green Day.. I know, now Green Day sounds like pop-rock, but they're just trying new kinds of music, they're not commercial. The older songs are great.

@myroflcopterisnice Neither of them are punk. blink used to play punk rock, and Mark is a punk. Scott (their old drummer) is in a punk band. Tom's a moron. Green Day have a lot of punk rock songs, but experiment with several different genres such as folk, alt, and ska. I would categorize Green Day and blink as alt-power-pop. New blink is pure pop shit. Dookie is an amazing album, however Kerplunk! was far better.

You are right - Punk is a much a behavior as anything, but I wasn't talking about that - I was talking about the music, and THAT music has long since gone away. Thankfully through YouTube and other Video sites - you can get an idea of what it was like back then.

@NINKAMC I love Punk, but as Crass said Punk is dead. there are a few bands still making good punk rock songs, however punk in and of its self is quite dead. Like Latin some people can still read or write it or pronounce the words, but it is a dead language.
