@Geordonk You might need to research "concrete MPA" and "slump test"and "concrete recipe". Being a qualified builder and carpenter I could point you in the right direction to find plenty of info on why concrete would crack. Concrete is simply a recipe of 4 or 5 ingredients. If mixed at the wrong proportion or mixed improperly shrinkage (cracks) will certainly form. Maybe you could explain to me why the cracking is so severe.

@nocknights They only have the massive vert ramp and the smaller bowls as a half pipe but i didnt find all the angles as nice, the indoor skate park in paris, i cant recall the name at this moment was excellent the street section had such a nice flow u could make a line of tricks where as here theres so much time between every trick cause everything is so spaced and the massive stairs are crazy. and the quality of the concrete isnt that good its cracking all over the place. id give it 3 out of 5

I míss this place i lived in shanghai for 3 years n was at that Park every weekend. It used to be free. No pads required n that empty spot used to be another street course but I think they moved it to Jin qioa or somethin. N I'm stuck in Cali n every skatepark I go to I feel confined cus it's tiny compared to this. Anyways nice seein this place still up n runnin. Say hi to lee jay for me. I think he runs the store haha

Regards from Spain, the first time that i saw yo was in the tv of spain, when i was 15/16 years old in a tv show called.... Maybe Concrete, here in spain was Skateboarder (In spanish is more suck :P, allways is the same in skate here xD), i saw you in this show when you helped some guys and kids in a social thing for change this actions for decks and some things of skate :D, its really good this actions!! whats with all the cracks in the concrete, looks like a sick park, but all the cracks in the concrete would put me off wanting to travel there, cause it makes it look like they dont maintain it (obviously maintaining concrete is difficult)

it just happens to concrete, generally those cracks shouldn't affect your skating (or at least i've never found cracks of that size to) :)

it shouldnt "just happen to concrete" there are two small concrete parks near me, and a bigger one about 30 minutes away on train, all 3 of them have been there for almost 10 years now, none of them have cracks in the concrete

where are these? perhaps it's just the state of a lot of concrete parks in the uk haha. i can imagine SMP costs a lot to maintain as it is as the park is huge, so i can fully understand that if the cracks aren't actually affecting the skating then they dont feel the need to repair them.

nah I dont buy that, its concrete vs urethane and rubber (bmx) at the end of the day, and concrete wins in terms of strength, might be the weather in china thats caused it, I dont know what the weathers like but I would hazard a guess that they get all kinds of temperatures and heat expands materials whilst cold contracts it so mebbe the cracks have formed from that

Been there. It costs ~$10, which is out of the price range of the locals in Shanghai, so in this enormous place there are like 12 people on a perfect Sunday afternoon, all visitors from elsewhere.
