I try to do it exactly like you said here. But when I apply the color burn it makes bits of the blue screen black as well as the subject and sometimes they overlap. When that doesnt happen I find the subject is also getting too much cut away from him. Is there something I am doing wrong?
I get my clips with Bungie render minutes and I choose SD, should I get them in HD?
@Digikid2007 Blue and greenscreen work exactly the same, the only reason to use one over the other is that you want the background that will contrast the most with what you're doing. Historically, bluescreen has been used more for film work due to film stock and camera (i.e., technical) reasons, but chroma key works with any background.
Thank you. Though I currently don't have an appropriate program to do this, this will help immensely for (possible) future projects floating around my brain. ...Really, I need clones or about 90 more hours in the day.
Hey this is bryan on HBO...Where did you get your after effects? Did you actually purchase it or keygen? And if so could you point me in the direction that you got it from:) I already spent $1000 on final cut so I have hit my software spending limit for a while lol BTW INCREDIBLE VID!!!
I actually got Adobe CS5 Production Premium at gradware(dot)com for a discounted student price. You can get CS5.5 on there for $445.95 right, if you are a student that is. If not, maybe you can get someone who is a student to help you purchase it. XP
@ProHaloReach Sony Vegas has poor chroma keying man, sorry. :( Keylight is your best bet.. Although I guess you could try, But I doubt you would get pleasing results.

@CommunityGamerTV
Please do make one. It'd be very helpful, because AE is expensive and not everyone can afford it, but SV is waaaaay cheaper.

Rymod 7 months ago
Bluescreen? I was taught that in order to do proper "keying" that you need to use a greenscreen effect. You can use both?
Digikid2007 7 months ago
@Digikid2007 Yes. Green and blue and even bright pink are all very good options for chroma key. You can use any of them perfectly.

@animatahr Cheers mate. Thank you for that. You learn something new every day. :D LOL!
