The commission on NJ civil unions was a total fraud. It was run by a majority of gay activists commissioners and they pet friends. The audience, the so-called experts, the witnesses were gays or gay friendly. The 8.6 million residents of NJ were not represented beside one testimony at the end. The facts were totally exagerated. It was a total shame, from beginnig to end at taxpayers expenses. The attorney general should investigate the whole mess.

Unfortunately for your argument, there are many documented examples of genuine confusion regarding the definition of civil union. The worst of these are incidences of medical emergencies, where partners in Civil Union were denied visitation and medical information. That's not ok.
