  • Debating the existence of ghosts is as pointless as shooting clouds. You either believe or you don't and no amount of discussion will change that.

  • @Avradizimir you can use cameras to capture them, there's a basis for experimentation

  • @VERGIS92

The doubters always find a way of explaining it off, no amount of evidence you can shake at them would make a difference

  • This is such melodramatic nonsense. No wonder: It's "for kids".

  • I was speaking to someone yesterday who mentioned she was an Eastern flight attendant once. I asked her if she ever heard of Flight 401 and she told me she was one of the flight attendants who saw Repo in the lower galley on an L-1011. She knew the whole story and said the sightings ended only after a seance was done. I was thinking the whole time "why do the seance?" Let them hang-out if they want. Small world.

  • Very good book about this, i'm under impression.

  • Skeptical ppl should go to any abandon hotel hospital a school with a couple other skeptics and find out themselves bringing a camera ,

    Digital voice recorder

  • No such thing as ghosts so i guess this is kind of pointless.

  • @dilwich123 how do you know? the point is you don't

  • @robertovz Well i guess i am a man of science and there has never been one single piece of testable evidence so all leads to there not being any ghosts and just for one minute imagine there was,an eternity stuck haunting a house.....its just laughable really isnt it?

  • @dilwich123 I understand your point and i must say i am a man of science myself and just in my opinion i think science and anything beyond go hand in hand more than most people can understand right now. I also believe its much more complicated than what people seem to perceive such as "ghosts" or "haunting". Just throwing that out there. I wasn't trying to be mean but i just didn't want people to limit themselves and i know i sound kooky but it comes with the package:)

  • @dilwich123

Why do you think there is no such thing as ghosts? Just because you haven't seen one?

  • @berry0201 Yes,i'm kind of big on needing evidence before i believe such outrageous claims ;) And by the way I've never seen Santa but i know he doesnt excist. :)

  • @dilwich123

Well, I wouldn't put santa and ghosts in the same category. :) The word ghost is a little wrong, since people are told from an early age that such things don't exist. It's just a little off-putting word to some. Ghosts are spirits that are left behind for a reson, and many times people on earth have a mission to take them forward. Souls of people visit us sometimes as well, giving us messages and comfort. Souls don't "haunt". And it is a very common and ordinary phenomenon. :)

  • "Unaware of the fault which had led to the crash of their tristar" ?

The only problem with this statement, there was no bloody fault 100% Pilot Error.

  • @chommy Yeah lol... I can see him tryin tell poor sod that saw him ...." It werent our fault pal, you wanne be aware, these planes are shit.." lol

  • Flight 404 was Never found...

  • Flight 404 was never found...

  • 0:16 if you look really really closely .. you might see a pilot

  • On wich plane is the Ghost? The plane at the rear Of united airlines?

  • Bob Loft and his family lived in Miami Shores, across the alley from my dads house. I was just a kid growing up but remember him as a nice man, an avid hunter, and owning hunting dogs who were always getting out and knocking over our trash cans. His elderly father would drive over to visit in a 1930s or so green coupe that i guess he had since new. I don't know if he was alive when the crash happened, but if so it would have done him in.

  • what they should have done was take out the light bulb that wasnt lighting up and put it into one of the other switches that WAS lighting up , and if the bulb lit up then the problem is something else

  • @MrCohibaboy no doubt its one of the first things u learn as a chief assigned to a jet..and most if not all pilots can trouble shot in the same manner u just described..hell the first words out their month is chief we already switched the buld or swaped the light to c if its working properly

  • Comment removed

  • John G. Fuller.

  • it was 1972

  • FAKE!

  • @purefatdude2 HAY HAY TROOL!

  • Maybe the ghost remained because he was certain it was a mechanical failure, and now hes trying to investigate what caused it until he finds out it was a mix of a tumor and a faulty light bulb and only then will he leave earth and go wherever the after life will bring him.

  • I read in wikipedia that any employee who tries to spread this rumor will be fired. :|

  • @hannahrenz It doesn't matter anymore, like flight 401, Eastern has crashed.

  • maybe the ghost captain was still haunting the other plane because he was still trying to look for the problem of the light bulb lol.

  • @MrCohibaboy Well, I guess they would have been Frank Borman's favorite employees. Working for nothing!

  • Comment removed

  • its abit like driving your car and trying to get at the interior light at the same time trying to to see if the bulb has blown ... oh hang on thats right im driving oh shit tree!!!

  • one of the dudes is ugly

  • I gota better idea, why not pay pilots today like professionals so we can hire professionals. Second, stop hiring douche bags like this captain.

  • why dont we put a pice of a crashed plane in other planes maby the ghosts of those can help others from crash

  • lol 50 cent of light bulb made a fatal dissaster? lol

  • I can't find the hanted parts

  • it was a pilot error beacause the co-pilot turn off the auto-pilot and they dindt know

  • @lacosto wrong... it was the captains fault cause he touched the control column of the aircraft and disconnected de autopilot. Thats why the aircraft started a smooth descend and no one noticed cause they were trying to fix the nose gear position indicator light.

  • @CAMELLOBORRACHO I say it's the instructors fault cuz they didn't know about that (touching the yoke will turn off they altitude holder) till another co-pilot who flown the aircraft told investigators that he experienced the same problem but he immediately noticed that the altitude holder switch was turned off.

  • @maynardthepilot I guess we two agree what the other says. I agree with you aswell. But the cause of the accident... the physical cause... was what i said.

  • @maynardthepilot i see, and what about the directors and managers that forgot to include that in the training manuals?

  • Comment removed

  • @pilotryanproductiond it wasn't faulty parts it was pilot error. Sad but true.

  • @oozyb1 i think its faulty parts cuz the light bulb for the nose gear was broken

  • @dailysk8shp2 so a 50 cent light bulb brought this jumbo jet down all by itself?

  • well, I think its nice that they help pilots! :D

  • I wouldn't want any of those parts in my 737.

  • @mattstorm360 why would u want faulty parts in any plane you were flying?

  • @PilotRyanProductions None of the parts were faulty, the pilot accidently turned off the autopolit by pushing his steering colum.

  • @PilotRyanProductions if you watch air crash investigation the parts where in so good condition they where put on other planes. i whant the parts to see and prove if they are hanted

  • IT WASNT DECEMBER 1971 IT WAS DECEMBER 1972 THE SILLY PERSON

    WHO MADE THIS VIDEO.

  • Hogwash. "Lockheed rides the airways with the thrust of bright propellers and the flash of gleaming wings"

  • I hope that when I die, ill reappear at the playboy mansion's BUNNY ROOM.. "O)

  • Maybe the second officer wanted to be a Repo man and the Captain didn't want the parts to remain a Loft

  • This is a no shitter, this stuff really happened. It even made into Readers Digest! there was some very strange incicents that took place.

  • it was 1972

  • It's Dec. 1972, not '71

  • You want a complete freak out? I was plane watching at MIA that night and saw that 1011 make a low pass over the runway and then disappear. I didn't realize until the next morning what I had witnessed! Ghosts or no ghosts, that was damned spooky...

  • But it's only make believe. Wait. Who just touched my shoulders and no one is behind me?....lol

  • Thanks you, I understand now. Thankfully one of the flight crew survived, i wonder what he is doing these days.

  • Loft died before he could be rescued. Stockstil died in the crash. Repo died 31 hours after the crash.

  • @AKJBevangelist well, god bless all of them and,the first one 2 go on a plane crash is we the pilots!

  • And I'm a kid and this is a FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE story lol!

  • they shouldn't remove the parts so that the ghost can take care of the flight to prevent any accident occuring in the near future.

  • yes they made a movie, and theres a book to.

  • scary for kids . com........now wat da fuck

  • The facts are wrong. This crash happened in 1972 and of the 4 pilots on board only loft and stockstill died

  • @TheFlightExpert You're right.

  • Good thing Repo and Donadeyo were in the hellhold, or goodbye them!

  • Actually, Don Repo ended up dying later on of his injuries.

  • @TheFlightExpert

Wrong at least Repo died in hospital soon later. Mayday/ACI is not telling something about Donadeyo.

  • thats true

  • @TheFlightExpert nope, don repo died too.

  • No, Loft and Stockstill were not the only ones who died. Don Repo was in the avionics bay when 401 crashed. He survived the initial crash but later died from his injuries in a hospital.

  • @TheFlightExpert Don Repo did not die in the initial crash, but later died from injuries he received during the crash.

  • @TheFlightExpert and repo

  • @TheFlightExpert Dan repo died in the accident too.

  • @TheFlightExpert repo died also

  • They made a movie about the hauntings themselves, right? Not just about the accident? Is it on YouTube?

  • I believe that the accident did weigh heavily on these poor guys' conscience, so they felt it necessary to watch out for the passengers and crew on other Eastern L-1011 flights.

  • I remember this story from when I read about it from a book as a kid. One account claimed Don Repo telling the witness that they wouldn't let any more of these kinds of planes go down again. Interesting isn't it?

  • i read it too

  • i read it too. Yeah your right, Don Repo told the witnesses that those kind of planes wouldnt crash again. Also i heard some people aboard the L-1011 have seen Bob Loft sitting in a passenger seat a year after his death. But then disappeared before there very eyes! Creepy huh!. :&

  • Oh yeah....

  • One flight attendant went to prep the lower galley and saw a flight engineer working on a broken oven. Later a mechanic showed up and she told him the other engineer fixed it. He said that was impossible since he was the only one on duty. When shown a photo she identified Repo as the man who fixed the oven. Repo would appear in the oven and even spoke from it. On one flight the cockpit crew heard knocking from the avionics pit. When they opened the hatch they saw Repo looking back up at them.

  • All that is creepy. but especially the last part...(shudders).

  • The ghosts from this flight are a strong and strange modern day case of apparitions. The fact the spirits are connected to the airplane parts speaks of some sort of paranormal connection between beings and material properties. Only God knows how we get locked into things that surround us but this case suggests a relationship. I just read that ground crews saw Loft do a walk-around and then disappear while climbing the steps. Others sat next to him in First Class. A manager even spoke to him.

  • I saw a two hour documentary on this flight.

The airlines were writing employees up and firing them if they brought up the subject of ghosts.

But, many people saw they saw the ghosts..creepy.

  • When i was a kid my morther told me about this plane that went down in the eveglades ,and my uncle was supposed to board that plane ,but he missed it.WOOOW

  • thats disturbing and wrong...

  • The parts were not airworthy, only items like galley parts, ovens etc. Air Canada had a report of seeing the ghost and only after some checking was it known that a couple of the ovens were on that aircraft. Ovens often would be used by other airlines when they traded parts. The movie stated that Don's voice was on the voice recorder, that was not true as far as I know but he did say to a pilot that Eastern would never lose another 1011. there were a couple of times they came very close.

  • Bob and Don survived the empact, The co pilot died instantly upon empact and oddly enough he was the only flight crew member strapped in to his seat properly. Bob died in the cockpit shortly after the empact and Don Repo died in a hospitaly hours later. I am not so arrogant that I would rule out any super natural events, to many people witnessed something and the author only talked to about 10% of the crewmembers who experienced soemthing. Eastern threatened to send anyone to a shrink who did.

  • Don Repo died in the Hospital, Loft survived the empact but died shortly later but did say a few words to the Coast Guard person who arrived at the cockpit. The co pilot died instantly and he was the only crew member who had his seatbelt and shoulder harness on. back and he hit the flight engineer's instrument panel and died instantly.

  • :D my math teacher told us about this today. we turned out the lights and he read us the story. :P

i want to see the movie now lol

  • They also published books. Tried to find at Barnes and Nobles book store but failed.

Sure sounds interesting book. EAL401 was catastrophic before Tenerife.

  • i just saw this airplane crash at air crash investigation. sounds scary

  • Now that they mention it, I remember watching a Tristar plane with the box recorder of the 401 to reconstruct what happen. Then the pilot of the Tristar suddenly drop his map and when he pick it, he bump the stir wheel thing. Then, because of this, the pilot reported similar finding to what happened to 401. Something tells me that it is the ghost of the 401 pilots communicated with the Tristar pilot because he has the box recorder. Now with this,it could happen to other planes who has the parts.

  • lol u have a good point

  • haha thanks. Well jeez, I've seen nearly every air crash investigation show made and this one was by far the STUPIDEST one.

"O HAI GUIZE that der light bulb is out on the light thingy. Clearly this is a job for three people and is far more important then keeping the plane in the air. HURR DURR"

  • hahaha dumb yes very i think i kinda got dumber by watching it dunno where u get it but ur a funny kid................and to all idiots were not making fun of the loss of life but just of the dumb decision making.

  • Yes, it was bad CRM but back then, they didn't really have CRM. The Captain was the end all be all. They put waay too much trust into their autopilot and were out of the Everglades. They had no horizon so they had no reference outside. I've flown pattens at airports near the beach at night with no horizon and it's pretty damn creepy. It was a bad mistake but don't be a dick.

  • I'll bet that would be creepy, but I feel that I can be a dick because I am an asshole by nature and that mistake cost many lives- 101 too many

  • Lol 4playerpodcast ??

  • haha what's this?

  • holy shit, do denying this is connected to the parts from the crash... shit.

  • The last thing I want is to fly on a plane piloted by someone stupid enough to believe in ghosts.

  • i agree

  • They said that pilot and flight engineer appear right? Then why not copilot?! Is weird...

  • i read the book

  • Comment removed

  • I was a an F/a w EAL for 17 yrs. and we had many well documented incidents on the 1011 with Don Repo. There was even one reported on the news in Miami in the 80's, on an incident with a EAL 1011 losing all 3 engines and landing safely. Very true.

  • Bullshit lol , dead people are dead , period.

  • I read the Ghosts of Flight 401 in the summer of 1987 while sitting in my dorm room that had once been one the barracks belonging to nWalker Air Force Base located outside the city of Roswell New Mexico. Never saw any green men but the girls dormitory was haunted and so was the swimming pool area according to security who had once called the Roswell city police in to investigate what sounded like drunks calling cadence by the aforementioned pool area. The searched and found no one.

  • It was December 1972, wasn't it? I want to track down the book about this...

  • Yes, the accident of EAL flight 401 happened on 29 December 1972, the book mentioned here, in some of the other comments, is by John Fuller, "The Ghost of Flight 401," a fascinating book, and a fun read. I'm not sure if it's still in print, but your local library would likely have a copy. A relative of mine was a Flight Attendant with EA for many years - I heard the stories first-hand and couldn't wait to read the book.

  • Just finished reading it. Got a 2nd hand copy (in excellent condition) through Amazon. I live in Australia and it would probably be the only way I could get my hands on it.

  • Yes, thanks for reminding about Amazon and being able to get out of print books that way as well. The late John G. Fuller was a tireless investigator and a wonderful writer as well - if you're interested, he also wrote, "The Interrupted Journey" and "Incident at Exeter," which were both written in the 1960's, and deal with UFO's. Both are considered to be classics in the field. Take care!

  • wow well captain goes down with his ship

  • CREEPY As!?!?! what i dont get though is how can ghosts come just because they used parts from another plane? that doesnt make sense?

  • I thought the pilot in command died in the hospital.

  • he died of severe injuries before leaving crash site but well after impact.

  • came on air crash investigation

  • I was watching this crash on Air Crash Investigation. There was so many reports of ghost sightings, Eastern Airlines removed the re-used parts of airlines and replaced them with new ones, and all the ghost sightings stopped

  • wow thats weird as!! as well as freaky!

but if there were ghosts, why would they stop coming just because the re-used parts got replaced?

    FREAKY!

  • Just saw the story on NGC.

Someone also posted it here in youtube titled "fatal distraction".

  • Yes it was here tonight on NGchannel.

Thanks for the tag link on Youtube:

    watch?v=b5pjCfXOR08

  • Sorry, the ghost story will been seen in part 5 at 4:50.

Use there for this link on Youtube:

    watch?v=HZh43-lSid4

  • WOW. Those faces gave me chills!!!

  • From what I have seen and read both Bob Loft and Don Repo were really nice guys and people who knew them believed it entirely possible that they felt responsible for watching over planes with salvaged parts but even though they were nice guys for some reason their pictures give me the creeps, and I am not easily scared!

  • They were great guys. Bob Loft is my wifes father. She was his first born.

  • really?? wow... your wife must feel so upset

  • the old eastern airlines building was on 36th st in miami fl in miami springs on lejune rd.i use to work for american airlines, i talked to guys who worked for eastern, and some who were there that night. and they said the 3rd floor in the old eastern building, is where loft and repo were seen. people would not go up there at night, this is a true story.

  • Ghosts do exsist some people just never see them in their life and some people do see them

  • well put muthcy126.

    reading the book now

  • Interresting -Factull.

    Risidull,and The stone wall theory.

  • Actually just looking at the pictures of these pilots give me the creeps. I really wouldn't want to meet either one of their ghosts. Damn!

  • Me too. Don Repo's face freaks me out. Something haunting about it...

  • @scaryforkids For me, it's not so much Don Repo's face as it is Robert Loft's. I can't even look at it for more than a few seconds at a time.

  • I have a ghost story too. A beer can was made from scrapped metal from a car from some lethal accident. And then some guy bought that beer can and put it into his fridge at home. And since that moment very scary things started to happen.

  • Ah yes, The Terrible Tale of The Haunted Beer Can. I know it well. Everyone who drank the beer started to act strange and weird... :P

  • this kind of stories are for kids and ghosts don't exist

  • Keep telling yourself that... It's only a story, it's only a story... :D

  • Actually many air line pessengers have seen those ghost figures , so can't deny at all. There are supernatural beings out there and not everybody witnesses and not everybody believes.. :O

  • even the vice president of that airline company saw it!

  • My Frend they actully do Exist.

  • I know for a fact they reuse and salvage old plane parts in new planes.

And if they don't anymore, they use too.

I have a relative who is a pilot.

  • I believe in this particular story.

There is too much info about it. Very creepy. How can pilots haunt microwaves and plane parts, weird.

But the fact they saved an aircraft or two, by warning them. taht gives me pause. Maybe it's real.

  • It's a horrible thing that the pilots died. But ghosts do not exist.

  • tell that to all the people who viewed them. I mean if it was just people who knew them, you could say imagination was the cause. THe fact is many who had no idea of them would see them. Than when someone showed them pictures, they said it was them. People are quick to say things don't happen when they lack knowledge. Lots of people use to say the Earth was flat, period. you should open your mind up.

  • I understand what your saying, but I simply do not believe in ghosts. I don't believe supernatural beings exist, and that will never change. So a few people say they saw something. It is easy to see things that aren't really there in the dim light of an aircraft. Trust me, I've flown many times. The thought of the accident scares people and brings 'scary' images to their minds. That's all, it's all in their heads. Ghosts do not exist.

  • well fucking said man. It's crazy how people don't use critical thinking, and use logic. I mean why didn't they get save? that isn't fair at all. They have to die in a fucked up way, and then "come back to save others" that wouldn't be fair. There are no ghosts, gods, or shit like that. Bad things happen, good things happen. Indifferent, with no point. This was very sad tragedy but all the ghost crap is all wishful thinking, and human imagination. Just like people saying Elvis is alive!..

  • Thank you! Finally somebody who has enough sense to not believe in this bullshit.

  • I like your part about Elvis but for the rest I only can say, there is more in life then we know and dare to admit. How many stories are out there about ghost? Already since the start of ages. In my opinion it COULD be that a spirit who suddenly died cannot always accept that fact. By investigating all the stories that I heared and read I keep my mind open for this tought. I think its a VERY intresting story.

  • I agree with what you say here, but it's also a big part of what people believe in. If they believe in ghosts and things like that, then it would be easy for them to believe they saw the ghosts of the pilots.

  • what about people that report seeing Elvis alive? Is it ok for them too? is it just their opinion? or is it not a fact that his dead and people that report seeing him, or ghost are delusional?

  • That's true...

I know that people claim to see Elvis alive all the time. I dunno, I guess I thought the people in an air crash were different?

But I've heard people say that Kurt Cobain isn't dead, either.
