  • Omg I want donuts now!

also at 4:53 the dog farts.

  • Back in Portugal you can make a traditional recipe "Filhoses" by adding boiled pumpkin to the mixture and throughly mixing it together, you can served with either regular or powdered sugar and/or cinnamon.

  • OOH OOH i made this in cooking mama

  • "For our American friends, this type of donut is known as "donut holes". For our Canadian friends, this type of donut is known as "Timbits"."

  • yes matcha power is green tea powder.

  • wonder why the title is called cookingwithdog... it doesn't have much to do with that dog... (the dog is still cute though)

  • @sophie987g

The dog is the one talking in the video.

  • puta merda olha o cachorro

  • ワンちゃん、可愛いくて、気になるわぁ~(#^.^#)

  • get well soon

  • timbits!!

  • Is it crucial to have baking powder? Plz someone answer!!!

  • @pinklaser44 Yes it is very crucial.

  • @pinklaser44 I will add some reason to the 'yes'. If you don't use baking powder, the donuts will not grow and become hard.

  • I wish all my teachers sounded like him. I think more ppl would pay attention in class then :)

  • Is the matcha/macha powder same as green tea powder? Plz somebody answer!

  • @aznbank she had an accidend and was at ICU for a while. But now she's recovering but she is still not 100% well.. check the egg and oysters recipe... the information is there

  • Mine were a total failure... I'll stick to custard and pancakes from now on.

    (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ Damn you doughnuts!

  • Need more practice!!!!!!!! Mine look like little brown martians... :s

  • @saritamiel85 when you cook them, don't rotate them THAT much or else it gets too oily and brown. just rotate a couple times till it's light yellow-ish brown

  • These recipes look so complicated, but I made these today and they turned out great! I did make some substitutions though. I used brown sugar instead of raw sugar. I didn't have cake flour, so I made it out of 2 Tbs cornstarch in the bottom of my measuring cup plus the rest in all-purpose flour. 100g flour equals right around a cup of flour. Along with being surprisingly simple, the recipe from start to finish only took 15 minutes!

  • lol Francis! xD We have donut holes in America! ^^

  • We canadians just learned how to make timbits!

  • Doing this right now!

  • Adoro sus recetas, regresa pronto chef, mejorate ! :)

  • How do you guys know that the chef is sick? I keep seeing that comment everywhere. What happened to the chef?

  • @JesusXRuth She got in a very bad bicycle accident around a month ago-- she's in stable condition but they have not been able to release anymore information.

  • IN CANADA WE CALL THESE TIMBITS

  • @RobustFilms1 thats only if you get them at tim hortons, otherwise there mini dohnuts

  • @RobustFilms1 FROM TIMHORTONS

  • my donuts went quickly in a few seconds and insides were a little raw. should it be lower temperature next time?

  • @silentmidnightsun I would think so

  • I appreciate that they don't waste the dough they tested the oil with. That's something that's very important to me.

  • I followed the directions but the oil was too hot at 340 degrees F so they burned a bit on the outside. I want to try again with a little less flour and less heat. I used a mix of safflower and grapeseed oil to fry.

  • I finally have some matcha powder to make these!

  • oh my god, I'm so hungry o_o watching your videos is just pure torture DDDx

  • I'm going to make this next weekend! But seriously, what oil did you use? They all taste different with different properties at high high.

  • In case anyone is wondering, 100 grams of sifted cake flour is equal to 1 US cup.

  • This looks wonderful! What's matcha powder? And what oil did you use to fry the donuts?

  • I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!!! <3.

  • This looks so delicious. I am going to try it.

  • i hope my future husband can cook like her

  • Chef,

I hope you get well soon. We All Love You,

    mammorusempai

  • @mammorusempai what happened to her I have NO idea whats going on.

  • who eats donut holes like that????

  • Green tea powder

  • What's matcha powder?

  • @KTCC13 it's green tea powder :)

  • I like the lady in the video very much! I hate the voice in the video very much!

  • Don't worry Francis, I'm praying that Chef will be all right! These look delicious, by the way!

  • Did I hear wrong or did Frances say "45 minutes" is the cooking time. That seems like a long time.

  • @tarasensei Turn captions on. He says 4 to 5 minutes. Your doughnut holes would be burnt in that oil after 45 minutes lol.

  • wiiiihh if we have all the ingredients ill try it tomorrow (=

thanks u guys are amazing! and get well soon chef!

  • Wow! Perfect job frying them so evenly!

Yum! have to make these sometime

  • They look like corn fritters!

  • What do the green ones taste like?

  • @dantefangirl14 Never tried them, but as they used matcha powder they probably taste like green tea. :)

  • @starryme7 Ah cheers :)

  • lol Tim Horton's timbits in Canada!

  • In Brazil, these are called "bolinho de chuva"

  • this is such an adorable video. i love francis :))

  • in malaysia we called this "cucur"

  • in america these are called munchkins

  • I just made them *dies* they were so good

  • whats with the dog

  • The women sounds like Siri

  • What is matcha powder?

  • @narutoloverz95

Matcha is just finely-milled green tea.

  • can we use regular plain flour?

  • @ESSIL22 Probably not, different flours provide different textures. The cake flour gives the donut the donut texture.

  • @HappyMilichi thanks for the reply, Because here in our place, i'm not quite sure if they are selling cake flour, the common flours that we have are plain, wholemeal and self-raising. Thank you! I appreciate it.

  • wow ~

lolol sorry that i have to mention but "donut holes" sounded like "donut hoes" hahahah XD

  • These were delicious. they didn't come out as round but still yummy!

  • I'm amazed how perfectly she makes these....while mine was so messed up looking. lol Also I just used regular flour and it came out pretty decent.

  • Timbits!!

  • i remember me and a friend made these great to see a vid showing how to make it.

  • really suck translator

  • I want to get up every morning to her homemade donut holes...... :P

  • i love how she cookes iin a traditional way using the wisk and everything with effort. never uses those machines americans to put less effort Argh - - such americans... asians rock!!! XD

  • @beaboyy I'm American and previously a chef - not true. Most Americans don't take out heavy machinery unless it's Superbowl or Thanksgiving :D Whisks are awesome regardless of nationality.

  • awwww T _T the dog is getting old... look at her eyes... i feel so badd T _T such a cute dog

  • @beaboyy his D;

Francis may wear bows and frilly things but he is all man X3

  • @Uncool4school when cooking never replace butter with margerine unless its stated you can margerine is nothing like butter chemically and many things require butter because of how it is chemically. Margerine has fo much water and not enough fat solids. (Has had to explain this to every man she has tried to cook with which is a lot... a couple girls too.)

  • She makes donuts look healthy

  • in Malaysia, this is called jemput-jemput and instead of using spoon, we use our own hand. some people add banana, some add corn, some add vegetables inside

  • For those who have the mini donut machine:

    3/4 c cake flour

    1 tsp baking powder

    1 Egg

    2 tbsp sugar

    1/4 c milk

    2 tbsp melted butter

Don't worry I tried it through and through it works :))

  • YOU LIKE BUTTON!

  • In Canada they'd most likely be called Timbits XD

  • @CelticMomiji hahaa yahh but timbits are donuts... mini donuts xD

  • @CelticMomiji YEAH! GO TIMMIES!!

  • @CelticMomiji You mean Timbits should be made like this... fresh every 15 mins (not including the time required to make them)!

  • @CelticMomiji and Robins eggs ;D! (fellow Canadian)

  • props to the dog, for always standing there!

  • my donuts taste superb but they look totally ugly /_\ how the hell can she make the shape of the donuts so goooooooooooooooooodddddd :'( instead of macha powder i add smashed banana into the dough :) its taste reminds me so much of my filipino domestic helper.....childhood memories (sob) missing her so much!!!!!

  • in the end of the video he said "Good luck in the kitchen", i heard it as "Go lock in the kitchen"....

  • The donuts tasted really good, but they were a bit dense so I was wondering how to lighten them up a little

  • I love your vids so much! Thanks for sharing these awesome recipes!!!!

  • I so want try make these some day. but for now I'll use my mini donut maker with muffin mix.

  • I never get to actually make these, but they look so good *_____*

  • HOW THE SHYT DOES SHE MAKE THE SHAPE OF THE DONUTS SO PERFECT? O^O

  • What does macha powder taste like?

  • @dramaindulged its basically green tea powder used in traditional tea ceremonies. If you stuck your tongue into some of this stuff straight up. You probably will taste green tea + a roundhouse kick of bitterness followed by uncontrollable coughing if you accidently inhaled the powder. Mixing it with powdered/confect sugar balances out the bitterness and leaves you with donuts tasting sweet with a hint of green tea's bitterness and the full flavor of green tea.

  • @Reiia Ohhh ok Thanks! :D

  • I tried this recipe and it didn't come out right. The dough was too dry and crumbly. I had to replace the raw sugar with white sugar and the butter with margarine. Was that the problem?

  • @Uncool4school No. More than likely, it was the ratio of dry ingredients vs moist ingredients. Make sure the measurements are correct.

  • @QueenLioness84 I used measuring cups and copied the ingredient list off of the video so that's not it. I had some people tell me that to use margerine you need a little more than with butter due to it having a lower fat content.

  • OMG THEY LOOK SO GOOD I WANT TO MAKE THEM!:}

  • 45 minutes? or 4 to 5 minutes?

  • in canada, there called timbits xD

  • @XxlostmycupcakexX Only the ones from Tim's :)

  • It looks like a dough treat in ma country, called Swan's Egg.

  • in austrian-german mini "krapfen" =))

  • 45 minutes is a lot of time, considering they're fried desserts

  • in fact i dont understand what the narrator is talking

  • Homer Simpson..." donuts... Mmmmmmmm."

  • in canada these are called timbits

  • @iamjordan123 I'm guessing only at Tim Horton's, or is the term that wide spread?

  • @iamjordan123 oh you canadians

  • on commercial donut chains, its called munchkins. its exactly the same as regular donuts flavors except it looks like this. taste the same but more affordable if you want a quick snack
