  • I don't like the glock 19 sized sub2000, i like to have a full purchase on my grip, but since you have a glock 19 i can see how using the smaller glock 19 magazines interchangeably would be a benefit. I also strongly believe a full size pistol is requisite for actual combat purposes. But then again i usually Fight rather than Flight(Guess its the American in me.) Differing strategies i guess.

  • I agree I own nothing but 9mm, this way I can buy bulk ammo. I also have a 10/22 for plinking

  • @3rdshifted Most calibers can be bought in bulk, maybe not as cheap, but at a great savings.

  • Nice weapon, I will probably look into getting one. Just something for SHTF because my PSL at 52inches is a little obvious.

  • Are you from Florida bro?

  • @TitanTony407 Perhaps....

  • funny lookin t

  • Hi, any ideas where these are available now? Every site Ive seen is sold out. Also, is one caliber any less $ than the other? Thanks

  • @traderjoes dont look, you likely wont find one, get yourself on a few waiting lists.

  • great video sir

  • Keltec sub 2000 40s&w with a glock 35 would be a nice go to set for when the shtf! Good review im still trying to find one.

  • Very nice review. Thumbs and big toes up

  • Good review. Clear, and insightful presentation. Subbed.

  • I kinda want this. I own a hi point 4595 carbine and it is a beast. I don't have a glock nor do I plan on gettin one. I'm just worried about the plastic sights and its long-term reliability. Why should I get this over a cen sterling 34+1. They are crude looking but that's their charm... stock folds up under nicely. Not as compact but shoots in its smallest form.

  • Also "SHTFers" is pronounced hilariously by MS Word text-to-speech.

  • Please don't be offended but I was surprised at how many SHTFers are black, although given our (even recent) national history it makes a lot of sense. If Africans had been armed I think most people would have thought it easier to pick your own damn cotton. Now your guns. Since you have the same stuff I have you must be a genius. Unfortunately my Sub2K matches my Sig and now I've decided to get a G26 for ccw so I really have no choice, I must buy another subbie (reason enough right?).

  • awesome gun buddy check out nutnfancy sub 2000 hes got the quadrail looks sweet! im going to get this gun

  • For the same price of a Kel, one can buy an SKS...

    I dont get it

  • @StSimonMartyr Strange to compare the two. They're in different classes altogether

  • @StSimonMartyr Yes they can but you're comparing apples to oreos here. Can your SKS fold into a compact platform for ease of transportation? No. Can your SKS shoot a round that could also be a carry pistol round that may be on your hip? No. So yes the Honda Civic of firearms is the same price and it does have superior fire power but that was/is in no way, shape or form the idea behind this weapon.

  • I agree and I like the rifle.

But for what it is, polymer pistol shooting carbine, it is terribly expensive.

Ak's can be bought/assembled for cheaper than Kel Tecs and SKS are cheaper as well. I know not apples to apples, just saying.

Kel Tec needs to get it around $225 and Im a buyer, many others too.

  • @StSimonMartyr Just have to look in the right place. I picked up another Sub 2000 this week for $200 in damn good condition. They go for around $330 new here (ohio).

  • When ever i use my 33 round mag in mine it jams after two shots

  • thanks for the review

  • Its good to see others are prepping for the Z-Poc. My loadout is a single barrel shottie, a glock 9mm, and the Kel-tech 2000. Made in USA! Great review too!

  • do you have to zero the sights, or are they adjustable?

  • @airbornemp19 The front is adjustable. I haven't had to zero mine though and Ive owned two; but Im known for compensating for sights.

  • @datguy781 Is this your SHTF package? a rifle , crappy knife and a pistol?

  • @datguy781 I see your other videos. Seems you are prepped. More so tn a lot of people who I see that dont even recognize a need to prepare.

Those are the same people who will end up being run out of thei homes and get their shit taken by mauraders.

  • @agenthelios1 I have prepped the best my funds will allow. I try to prep full circle I have food, water, a generator, etc. I use the same style of intro to several of my videos showing the item about to be reviewed. By the way the kershaw OSO sweet is actually a great knife like most knives from them.IMO

  • @airbornemp19 Mine was hitting to the right of POA. I had to zero it. Although, it's not that difficult to adjust it, but it's not the easiest either.

  • I have a Sub 2000 in 40 cal, with six 15 rd magazines that fit on a belt mounted ammo

pouch, along with a Taurus pt92, 9mm pistol with three 17 rd mags. l feel this is more than enough firepower and light enough , I dont think alot of people factor in how heavy

hundreds of rounds of ammo is,and overloading myself with too much gear, will limit my

agility and fatigue me quicker, especially in hot weather.

  • Your taste in toys is top notch sir. My hat is off to you. My buddy has a cold steel kukri and its the real deal. Have you seen their high end one? Wayyyy out of my price range, but nice to drool over. I've heard people complain that the grip is small on the sub-2000, any thoughts? I think they make two different glock 9mm sub-2000's and one is better?

  • Yo I was looking at Sub2k vids and found one posted this week that was using your vid. Just type kel tec sub 2000, this week. Its some zombie vid.

  • as much preparations that ive done for the zombie apocolypse...im going to be pissed if it never happens

  • Helpful, thank you.

  • Thanks great review... I'll be getting one in 9mm in the near future.

  • I like turtles

  • good video!

  • Very professional review.

  • 781? youre MA local dude! i havent met ya but i hope to meet ya when SHTF

  • @BIZZLEIVXX Sorry. I am not from MA, just a random series of numbers that I picked.

  • Good job. Very clear and concise review.

  • while for survival i have a m1a scout, and .45 xd i will carry so i can engage at distances, i will say this about your review. you are right kel-tec sub2000 is an awesome gun. i stake my life on it when i'm helping track illegals humpin coke and marijuana across our borders.. i keep it in my car with a s and w 5900 series in 9mm. so mags interchange where if shtf when i'm at work etc. i have an immediate grab n go. perfect for someone on a budget and low profile.

  • If you had to choose, would it be the Keltec carbine or the 10/22 ?

  • @RECONDO101st Really depends on the scenario. However if I had to purchase both weapons over again the 10/22 would be my first. Due to inexpensive ammo and its a good training aid for others. In a pinch it can still be used for defense if needed when options are limited.

  • Now that you've unsheathed the kukri you're obliged to draw blood.

  • Great video!!!!

  • Good point on being seen and the jansport backpack in a survival situation, people can assume fairly accurately whats in a molly bag, but a Jansport bag just might have your lunch in it.

  • I'm dyin to pick one up, but I cant find any of them available locally. Anyone got any leads? I'm looking for a .40 with the Glock 23 mags? I read somewhere that Kel-Tec made versions that except the Glock 19 and 23 mags as well as the frequently seen 17 and 22 mags. Any info would be appreciated.

  • Do you know if, due to the barrel length, thie gun requires registration with local authorities like pistols do?

  • It is scary to think of a carbine rifle that easily hides in your backpack; it makes taking guns to school way too easy. I believe there is an 18 years or older restriction on rifles where I live, but for this gun I would at least go 21.

  • is 781 ya area code?

  • Comment removed

  • thank god it didnt fall apart while you were shooting! that'd suck. great vid by the way.

  • Love that little G26 you got, I just sold my G19 and I'm thinking I want a G26, love the small frame.

  • it was all a dream i used to read word up magazine . lol i love that song .

  • Very nice review. Well done.

  • This might be the most helpful review on this gun I've seen so far. Thanks a lot, datguy

  • what a great review! you sold me, im buying my .40 tomorrow. thanks man!

  • you should get your ffl because you just sold me on the sub 2000.

  • @ctrlaltWOOT I like the idea myself, too. It'd be an exciting world to live in. I know a lot of people are obviously being facetious. There are others, though, who seem to believe it's real. I don't think it will happen, but here's hoping it will =)

  • @ctrlaltWOOT I'm not trying to be rude by asking this, but I'm genuinely curious; are people serious when they talk about zombie attacks and what would be needed for survival in those scenarios, or is it just an internet trend that's over my head? I've seen comments and even website and I'd swear up and down people believe zombies really will be running around one day.

  • @Zulu1380 Kershaw oso sweet.

  • @datguy781 Are those iron or plastic sights detachable?

  • Comment removed

  • the mags that can be used in this are the Berreta 92, Berreta 96, Glock 17, Glock 19, Sig Sauer P226 In 9mm and .40S&W

  • @Umimugo There are different models that accept different mags. You cannot use beretta mags with glock model etc. Trust me I have a beretta 92fs and the mags will not go in.You can also confirm this on kel-tecs web site.

  • Nice review and smart tactical thinking. Thank you!

  • picked up one today at the gun show in 9mm its my glock 17s battle brother

  • did you say switch mags or smags

    @5:04

  • i wish they made this kel tec in 22 or 22mag 10mm an 45

  • would love to see a follow up on the Sub 2000 from anyone who has put 2500-3000 rnds though one. I've been looking at them for awhile. Accepting Glock mags is a huge plus for me, but I'm not familiar enough with Kel tec to be sure about durability. Anyone?

  • nice job!

  • cool gun but it is worth $700 here so I need to decide if it is really worth it.

  • @FuriousPixel Purchase one online & have it shipped to a local FFL holder in your city!

  • It was all a dream! lol.got the BIG on the beginning of the song.

  • ever check out a marlin papoose for a squirrel shooter ? just picked 1 up awesome little packable breakdown rifle . next on my list is a su-16c

  • I agree with your lay low theory. Anyone walking around in full battle uniform will be a target. Battle rifles are great, but the element of surprise may be your best option in an shtf scenario. It is a good idea to have one though.

  • yeah you're right.9mm makes more sense in a Carbine roll.... Being smaller, lighter and better armor piecing.

40.s are great if you're using them for a pistol... but i dont see the point in a carbine role......

Great vidio datguy :D , this is like my Hit-Man Dream guN!

  • Your 10-22 looks cool.

  • Excellent review. Thank you. Pros and Cons you mentioned were very helpful. This gun is often overlooked when "survival rifles" are reviewed. I am now adding it to my short list for a "backpack" rifle. Thanks again!

  • That Kel Tec seems tits. Good to have something versatile and affordable. Nice review.

  • GOOD JOB ON THAT 22 CAMO

  • GOOD JOB ON THAT 22 CAMO

  • Great review

  • I just wished they made one chambered in 45 acp :(

  • Are you a cop? :D

  • Great vid bro, I really like how you brought up what you didnt like about the gun (front sight) this gun seems really cool, and I want one. For the price I ? the quality though.

  • i'm buyin one for my son , he's in 3rd grade it fits in his backpack !

  • @varmitrifle should make the school shooting that much easier...lol j/k j/k...but im sure thats what the antis would think of that comment...stay safe

  • Great review. All the right information with out talking too much like most gun reviewers.

  • Those kel tec's are nice. But i think ill stick with my glock22 rtf2 with a 22 round mag.

  • Being seen is bad...stay slick keep a low pro...and KISS...one cal one mag type. I just wish the kel tecs were not as "cheap feeling".

  • get one of these folded up under a coat wearing a tac force smg vest. 6 glock 33 round mags and 3 glock psitol mags. move fast and light. i do agree they should have metal sights. even if it would cost the customer an extra 50 or 100 bucks ild pay that for metal sights.

  • Hey, 781... Nice vid. Well done. Thanks.

  • I like your review style.Informative, cohesive and articulate.

  • I bet that you could modify an Ak-47 front sight to replace the plastic one

  • It was all a dream!!!!!!

  • how is the recoil of the sub2000 9mm vs say an AR-15 chambered in 5.56

  • I'd like the model that accepts M92FS magazines, since my older brother has an M92FS, and I could trade him some stuff for mags.

  • Thanks for review I also have a G-17 so mags will be interchangable. Your lucky that pistol fell apart in safe and not while shooting it.

  • Great info in your video. You are very well spoken and clear to the point. great Job!

  • I have a Kel-Tec Sub 2000 in .40 cal and the rear plastic sight snapped off right after I bought it. I love shooting it because it's really fun but I am really disappointed in the sights

  • great choice for a shtf scenario, i have the sub in 40 to go with my g22.

  • got to love a kel tec sub 2000 in 9mm!great review!i have all the goodies on mine!still need a tactical bag or case for it, though always getting something new before i have all the goodies for the last one!

  • I totally agree with your theory on SHTF. Guys running around with their assault rifles are going to get shot

  • Hey nice video. I have two myself. One in 9mm one in 40 both Glock mag models. I would highly recommend the 1 inch butt extension. Also Tacticool makes a few nice products I recommend. Get the foam tube cover for the cheekweld. Keeps you from burning your cheek. Also an oversize charging handle cover made of black PVC. From KelTec I got a pictinny for each allowing me to mount lights or lasers, the carry case and sling. Great bug out/ back pack gun. Also the 9mm likes 115 & 124 grain ammo.

  • You are very well spoken and this was a great video. You should probably have a show on Outdoor Network, Fox, or ESPN (for the 18-25 male demographics). Kudos!

  • i got lucky and got one last year for 4 $230 with 4 mags its an awesome gun

  • Great review.

  • We have the same survival theories. I've been criticised for my blending into the refugee population during a wrol or shtf situation with firearms concealed but I think it's the best option for survival. I'd rather suprise a bad guy than telegraph what I have by wearing lots of gear on a tactical vest.

  • Hello. I wanted to ask, will the KEL-TEK Sub 2000 take a mag made for the 9mm KEL-TEK PF-9? I do have the Beretta 92FS and the PF-9. Now I'm thinking about buying the KEL-TEK Sub 2000.

Hey, I liked your video, informative, organized and not drawn out. Thanks! wtr7

  • @wtr7 They dont make one currently that uses the pf9 mags. However you can get the one which uses 92fs mags.

  • I'm looking at the AR-7 for a packable .22 rifle

  • great video!

  • 33Rd mags are your friend. Check out ktog.org I'm sure you have.

  • @noblinger Gotta love them, even though the gun looks like an Italicized "T" with it in.

  • Good vid datguy781!

  • so Why did you switch from the .40 cal to the 9mm Sub 2000

  • @suntsu152

I would have to guess to keep all the ammo 9mm... Why carry to types of ammo instead of just 9mm if SHTF it's just more weight to carry.

  • I fondled one today it was like 359 brand new, thinking about buying it

  • @datguy781 hey man great vids.. i have a SHTF urban survival pack with a SU16CA (for 100+ yards), SUB2000 (10-100 yards), and P38AT (as a last-ditch weapon). I agree with u that you might not want to be seen as obviously carrying a firearm in SHTF, so my SU16 might be left at home. For 10 pounds and about $850, i don't think you can go wrong. I have a few things on my SUB that you might like so I'll post another comment about that...

  • the more i watch your vids the more i want that gun.

  • You could buy this for less than or equal to some pistols! Not bad at all. Of course you do have a point about the plastic sight. Not acceptable for a "survival rifle" IMO. But you could always replace it, and the Beretta or Glock mag option is cool.

  • I really enjoy your reviews! Great stuff.
