Yeah...Clemens took roids for 1 main reason...he saw that he was physically declining and his stats showed it a few year ago...therefore, he decided, along with his trainer to use them to help him regain his prime ability to "supplement" his training. By doing this he would postpone his retirement age by several years thus allowing him to have a crack at breaking more records...no different than Bonds...

cont...great players of the past mostly HATED the thought of retirement or going back to playing minor league ball with no hope of getting back to the bigs, and some of them embarrassed themselves when they retired a year to 2 too late...but if you juice at the beginning of your physical "decline", then you add many more years of "super-prime" play, and you recover MUCH FASTER from soreness, fatigue, and injury too...what a bargain...what cheating...what a lying coward.
