Great woman, indeed.I just am so refreshed by what she says 'I couldn't write when I was sick because I was not functional.' I just hate all this crap about creativity during the active phases of the illness. Maybe there are exceptions, but in most cases you cannot remember a name of a person that was just introduced to you, you can't sleep, you can't eat, you can't think, you can't live. It is just a constant pain, a jail out of which you're trying to get out. And then you learn to deal with it.
The manic side is associated with creativity because of how productive you can be - and vincent van gogh of course was manic and creative - but I love how Marya smashes that stereotype that there's a beauty in THAT particular side of the illness, it's not as pretty as people might believe.
Oh Marya. You will never understand how much you inspire.

Her words have helped me through so many rollercoaster years..
She is so beautiful.
She is my absolute hero.

i love this woman.
she's so inspiring.
her command over language are second to none. its just such a shame about what she's been through to achieve that.

I love the way how Marya's eyes are dancing, her language, thoughts... so sad she's struggling.
