I just heard this group in Davis CA, as they toured the west coast. I'd recommend catching their show. 

A very talented string ensemble, they mix bluegrass, jazz, and classical themes in original compositions with wit and reverence.

Their compositions varied from these minimalist layerings of rhythms and melodies to witty jazz variations on bluegrass and classical themes.

I was blown away by their talent as composers and performers.

I hope they keep playing, composing, and touring.
