  • What is wrong with those people? If you have nothing to say, then be quiet. Respect who is working (very, very hard) and sharing some good advice for free. Go for it, Carey!

  • i thought this was shuffle dancing...... im sad now

  • IDIOTS! RUNNING makes you a better runner

  • she is full of shit

  • to KaseyAkira:

    Article from runner´s world(literal translation)

We have all seen this runner in the park doing funny little jumps, walking as a pinguin and criss-crossing his feet. The worst is that we have laughted at him.Big mistake due to our ignorance(I think they are talking about you now,KaseyAkira). By doing this excersises we would get stronger ankles, much more articular movility and a more efficient running motion.Running technique is the diffence between a good and an average runner

  • Nah I agree with KaseyAkira.

Doing this doesn't make your running more efficient. And you're not running on some certain blocks so you don't need coordination. Only correct thing is it makes your ankles stronger, but there are even better ways to strengthen the ankles anyway, so unless you are a sprinter this video is useless, as you won't exactly be sprinting in a triathlon.

  • First, how is this cute little footsie game you've set up here going to help someone run? You say it builds coordination so you can run better???

Let me ask - if I asked any of you to get up and run right now, would you be able? Yes? Would you have trouble coordinating one foot in front of the other? No? THEN WHY THE F*** would you spend time learning coordination for running?????!!!!!!

  • Thats amazing she's a "functional training coach", which would seem to denote that her training is related to "functional training", which is training that improves function for a given sport... and here she is teaching a completely non-sports specific technique to "improve your running".

  • KaseyAkira, your comments about this woman´s lessons show how much you know about running. These excercises for running coordination to improve your running technique are ESSENTIAL to get better running results and minimize risk of injury. A bunch of exercises like this one is part of the weekly training program of any amateur or professional runner. So before posting these comments, I would strongly suggest you to read about "exercises for running coordination or running technique".

    Un saludo.

  • Law of SAID dictates that neuromuscular coordination is extremely specific in nature. A gymnast is very highly coordinated, but will not have the ability of a skateboarder, who in turn will not have the ability of a surfer, who in turn will not have the ability of a tight rope walker.

If you want to improve your "skill" and "coordination" at something, your training must mimic, as closely as possible, the activity you plan to do.

  • I'm a kinesiologist and specialist in biomechanics, with a degree in fitness science and sports medicine, and have trained people from all over the world, including runners. You DO need to gain a certain level of skill in sprinting or mid distance running, but long distance, marathon running is not very skill-heavy. Further, the skills you need to build are not supplied by the training shown in this video. Its ridiculous.

  • well, let me tell you that if you are really coaching runners and you give them advices such us:"THEN WHY THE F** would you spend time learning coordination for running?"or any of the comments you are posting on these good videos which REALLY help you build strength and coordination to improve your running motion, I have to say that I feel sorry for your pupils. They are wasting their money. sorry to be so straight but I do not want people watching these videos to be confussed by your comments.

  • one more thing. I am not a kinesiologist and specialist in biomechanics, with a degree in fitness science and sports medicine. Just a national athletic coach and a long distance runner/triathlete for more than 20 years. I repeat that these are GOOD VIDEOS WHICH SHOW YOU EXECERCISES TO IMPROVE YOUR RUNNING EFFICIENCY. they should be made a couple of times a week after your running routine. There are plenty of sites which show you a whole list of these excercises.

    Regards from Spain.

  • Dum ass americans. If you wanna improve run splits do some fartlek or interval training. Step aerobics will do fuckall for triathlon training.

  • I really don't see how the heck that's going to improve my run splits!

  • Its wont. Expert village always puts out the most ridiculous shit. Have you seen their other fitness videos?

  • Just saw another on making your bike legs stronger on 12 reps - what a waste of time! I put a comment on that stating - get out on your bike! or if the weather is poor get on a static bike and PEDAL!!! :o)

  • your videos are great and i am anxious to see what happens with your personal site. in general it might be more useful to have the indoor, exercise-style videos focus on working out body kinks (like postural/phasic muscle imbalances). the outdoor vids have been very useful, the indoor training ones less so (for me). thanks!
