@FRANK2759 Thanks! I've paid 1850 euro's, that's just over 1200 pounds. I did have to do some work to get it in good shape. The rear subframe has been replaced and so has the engine. The original A engine burnt alot of oil. Now I've got a 998cc engine from a '92 Racing Green, which has only done about 40,000 miles so far. It also got a right front wing because the old one was damaged. Last month I renewed all tires. I also have mounted MK2 rear lights, mud guards and chrome mirrors.
@DrummerJunior13 The acceleration wasn't too bad but wasn't great either. It's a good little runner and goes along nicely but I have since fitted a Stage One kit, first with Peco exhaust and now with an RC40 twin box. It's still quiet but drives better in my opinion. I do love the 998cc engine though. It's economical, reliable and always drives great!
Hey, if you don't mind me asking, how much was the insurance on it scince it was your first car. When i get to taking my test im thinking about getting a austin mini as well
I know this is an awkward question, but I wanna buy one of these (first car aswell) and I want disklok for it, so do you know the diamaeter of the steering wheel lol, awkward I know

@aly369, don't worry, it's a normal question ;) I'm paying 38 euros a month for my car at the moment, and I'm 19 years old. It's a great little car!
RiskyR 1 year ago
@RiskyR Thanks, that will be alot more expensive in the uk, about 1000£ pounds which is about 1500 Euros.

@aly369 I hope you mean 1000 pounds a year? But yes that sounds quite expensive. I think I'm lucky with my insurance here in the Netherlands!

@sungerful, it depends on what type of steering wheel you have, I've got the standard one

And btw, is it an A+ series engine or are you still running it on leaded petrol? Nice video!
TopGearrules 1 year ago
@TopGearrules It's the original engine with a converted head for unleaded fuel
