  • vanessa ferrari with alicia sacramone's music from 2008?

  • Vanessa Ferrari's floor music sounds really similiar to Alicia's Sacramone's old music. Aren't Rebecca Bross's feet like that because she sickles them and her feet are crossed?

  • @ParanoidAndroidDA no, she has knock knees or something, they can be really dangerous:/

  • I always hold my breath during the Double Arabian...I always have visions of the gymnasts over-rotating or something...

Such an amazing skill though :) :)

  • Does anyone know who's on floor (with the Carmen music) during the Chinese vaulting?

  • I feel like I hear Vanessa Ferrari's floor music all the time!

  • @ladodgerschick the middle part is alicia sacramones old one ;)

  • I feel so bad for the Italians being sent of with those leos, yuck.. they make up for it in their gymnastics though ;-)

  • K I'm sorry, but I CANNOT STAND watching Bross on bars, her toe point is flat out ugly, why does she not ever get deductions on form? She's going to ruin her ankles and knees, I'm surprised she hasn't already.

  • @tmwalkerm

lol can't stand bross? try watching the russians

  • @tmwalkerm she can't e deducted for it.... its how her body is made, she s showing that she is squeezing every muscle in her legs (which judges like to see) and she has to turn her feet like that to show that that is the only way she can get her legs together, its not her doing it because it is a habit its simply the way her body is made

  • @Gymprincess2400 then its a habit that needs to be broken, by way of surgery, she could and probably will, end up doing serious damage to her knees. Shame on her coaches for not recognizing that, its easily corrected if they cared enough to fix it.

  • @tmwalkerm not really when dealing with gymnasticsits all about timing. those kind of things arnt that easily correct and im not sure that even surgery can change the shape of bone. its like there are some gymnasts whose knees dont touch (mine) and you have to squeeze every muscle and squeese as much of your leg together as you can. My guess is it doesnt hurt her so it isnt a huge deal.

  • @tmwalkerm It is in no way an easy correction, surgery or othewise. She does the best she can with what God gave her. While it is hard on her knees, as her recent injury shows, surgery is never to be undertaken lightly. As a former gymnast whose "routine" surgery led to SEVEN more, the doctor's saying I wouldn't walk again, and a permanent disability, as well as the end to my gymnastics career it is deplorable to me that people like you get on here and rant about things that cannot be changed

  • @beffyblb and the fact that YOUR surgeons couldn't fix the problem without SEVEN surgeries is my problem....how? I quite frankly DO NOT care what you think, or say, or presume to know about me. AGAIN keep your judgements of ME to yourself and don't respond if you don't agree with me. Simple as that. This is a PUBLIC board, I CAN AND WILL say what I think and if you don't like it, fine, I'm not doing it for your approval.

  • @tmwalkerm omg i agree she has something weird going on with her legs lol

  • @tmwalkerm

She sickles her feet! Hasn't anyone told her that's bad for you?

  • @ladodgerschick obviously not, or they would have corrected it. It is definitely fixable, and if they don't do it soon, she's going to end up with major knee damage. Its called bowlegged and there's surgery that can correct it. I really hope she gets it fixed, I'd hate for her to have permanent damage.

  • @tmwalkerm never noticed it before :O looks realy ugly ..

  • @justabrokengymnast yeah, especially on bars.

  • @tmwalkerm Uuugh, her toes are disgusting. She should get deducted for that. She's a fantastic gymnast but I agree that her legs and feet need work. I can't believe how many of the gymnasts have sickled feet this worlds. Surely they should know better? I'm surprised the coaches don't do anything about it.

  • @hannahmonlaza Shes knock-kneed. I don't think she can help it.

  • @tmwalkerm shes knock-kneed. thats why her toe point is like that.

  • @GymMonkeyAz I know that, there's surgery she can have to correct it, as ugly as it is, it can also do irrepairable damage if not fixed.

  • @tmwalkerm um...yeah she did ruin her ankles and knee. twice in fact. However there is nothing wrong with her toe point. its just they way her ankles are built

  • @wyocanchaser if her calves were made the way they should be, the toe point wouldn't be a problem. So why have they not fixed it? She's been like this for years, look at her past videos. Its irresponsible and careless for the coaches and her parents to let her continue competing with such awful legs, if she keeps it up she WILL have permanent damage.

  • @tmwalkerm Because there probably isn't anything structurally wrong with her ankle. She didn't tear her ankles and knee up because of the way its built. There's hardly a gymnast of the floor who isn't taped or braced. Its just the reality of what we do. Don't judge her parents or her coach because she has a turn in.

  • @wyocanchaser I work in orthopedics and there IS serious structure issues with her knees, her calves are not supposed to angle out from her knees, anyone with eyes can see that. Try googling knock-knees if you want to see what will happen if she doesn't get it fixed. Did you ever think that maybe a person can be CONCERNED about this young lady and not want her to end up crippled?

  • @tmwalkerm I've just done a little looking and found some pictures. You're right they are slightly off. however a lot of gymnasts are off to one way or the other. If I stand lock legged (as well as bridget sloan and quite a few others) my knees do not naturally sit next to each other. I've only ever had one knee problem (torn meniscus) and I'm not crippled. Thank you very much. Gymnastics is a hard sport...that's all there is to it

  • @wyocanchaser I'm not disputing that its a hard sport, anyone who can put their body through that and still enjoy it has my utmost respect. I'm glad that you haven't had major problems, but I stand by my prediction that Bross will continue to have knee and ankle issues until she gets them fixed, it is possible and if she has to sit out the 2012 Games, then so be it. I've seen what permanent damage looks like, even in someone as young as Rebecca, I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

  • @tmwalkerm If you did work in ortho you wouldn't be diagnosing nor recommending treatment for someone you have never consulted with. If, God forbid, you are in ortho what you are saying is ethically irresponsible for the same reasons. And you are taking away from an incredible athlete by continuing to critique her on what is not her fault.

  • @beffyblb DO NOT question my profession, you have NO IDEA what my qualifications are, I've seen her walk, run, tumble, that is more than enough for me to make an assessment. I have NEVER said it was her fault, but it IS fixable, IF the people who are supposed to care about her well-being actually took the time to get it taken care of. Irresponsible? Coaches and parents of this kid are, not me. Kindly take your juvenile opinions and judgements and shove them up your ass.

  • @tmwalkerm I question not only your profession but your age after such an immature response. On just about every video where you comment, you have to throw in a critique of her legs, even if no one else has said a word. Kindly concentrate on something positive, not something that would be irresponsible to casually assess and suggest treatment.

  • wow vanessa ferrari has ... grown up.

and jiang yuyuan is sooo pretty now.

  • @alcoholicglitterati I agree, Jiang just sparkles with that smile, her whole face lights up :)

  • thanks so much for posting all the vidoes in bbc commentary i love this :) keep uploading and keep up the great work ! :)

  • Vanessa, you're such a powerful young lady now! Really have blossomed.

  • Who had that music first? Sacramone right? Who else has used it I feel like i've heard it used for 3 gymnasts now.

  • @EmilyRoseKid Yes, Sacramone used it in 2008 at the Olympics.

  • @EmilyRoseKid yep yep, and I think the best performance to that song is by Boyanka Angelova

  • I love Ferrari's landings but I miss her creativity and music choice in her younger years.
