Seeing the American commercial at the end for Super Mario Bros. 3 almost makes me wonder if it was trying to copy The Wizard with the "Mario! Mario!" chanting, cause of them chanting "Jimmy! Jimmy!". I doubt it, but it's just funny to notice.

Super Mario Bros 3 is a game that the Angry Video Game NERD actually LIKES! He thinks it's one of the best games ever by Nintendo. To him, it has very few flaws which are all tiny. It's very challenging! He says it's actually a very decent video game, how do you like that?

@gmanny212 No. In Japan, Super Mario Bros. 3 was released on the Famicom, the Japanese version of the NES, on October 23, 1988, more than 1 year before the Wizard was released in the United States.

I have even heard of some American video stores that had SMB3 in 1989, as well as a converter for the NES.

My head almost exploded when I saw this as a kid. Especially, when he said "Super... Mario... Bros..........3!!!!" Amazing, moment and the game is still awesome.
