  • Remember that line in the show when the reporter says to Grace's mother, "There are pictures of you committing the crime!"

And she simply says sacarcastically, "Please." That was pretty amazing prediction back then, as pictures couldn't be so easily faked. Now you have people who can fake all kinds of things in their basement using cheap programs.

Anyone know when Church Windows is on?

  • Wild Palms play The Volks next week as part of The Gt Escape's Alt Escape in Brighton. Get your ticks at Gigswiz.com. Friday 13th May

  • This series deals a lot with scientology. As for the soundtrack, compare the Wild Palms-theme with the composition Clouds (Nuages) by french composer Claude Debussy. You´ll be astonished...

  • Kathryn Bigelow directed this episode, by the way. (The hotly hot director who won the Oscar this year.)

  • Unforgettable. Thanks for uploading this clip.

  • Wild Palms was one of the best and most underrated mini-series (or series for that matter) that has ever been aired. Way ahead of its time and story being too brilliant for most critics to like and too complicated to short-attention-span mass to follow...pure jadarite you don´t see on TV anymore...

  • It's never a good sign when "House of the Rising Sun" starts playing.

  • It is already happening !

  • the movie is great - especially that scene

  • Undoubtedly one of the most flawless bits of soundtrack usage I have ever seen. I have always remembered this, the pause on the beach and the cry of his son's name...perfect, absolutely perfect.

  • Totally agree. "House of the Rising Sun" has been used in a number of movies and TV shows, but I always remember the anguished cry of "Chickie!" whenever I hear this song.

  • Same! Same here. Awesome - there ARE people like me out there ;)

  • I have never forgotten this scene since the first time I saw it. It has stood out as a great combination of music and story telling.

  • I agree totally, this song is why i remembered the movie all these years and have been searching for it ever since. thanks to the guy who posted this clip!!!!

  • what happened with grace??

  • Kidnapped by the sinister Fathers. If you can track down a copy (it's available on DVD) I'd highly recommend watching.

  • @KakunoBuddha

We ordered it off of Ebay awhile back. Nice professional 2 disc copy, still in the wrapper. :-D

Great film. Back from before Oliver Stone sold out. (Assuming of course he wasn't always sold out.)

  • @andreapanda

    she was killed

  • @andreapanda she died

  • This is one of my favorite scenes of the series. Man, how cool is Wild Palms! Superb, superb! Thanks for putting this online.

  • was this a soap opera?

  • In all honesty, sort of, yes.

  • what does "on honestly sort of yes mean? i assume you are saying that it has soap soap opera elements

  • You assume correctly.

  • Exactly. It's a mix of sci-fi and soap opera.

  • Correct.

  • @travis082185

i think he means, since it was a network tv miniseries, the writing style has the elements of a soap opera, if only for the sake of commercial time, and getting the viewer to watch all 4 nights the story aired.

    I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS.

  • I'm from France and i like Wild Palms. But the dvd-box is in Zone 1...I hope that the dvd-box will in Zone 2. (Sorry for my english...^^).

But in the dvd-box in Zone 1, there is French language ? I like Original Version but in the dvd-box in Zone 1 i believe there is not french-subtitles...

  • Charlie Rocket in something else -yet again ( playing Stitch.)

  • Love Stitch! Hilarious. Rocket did a fantastic job.

  • OH NO! I just read that he committed suicide, Oct. 7 2005. Fuck that! Damn. . .

  • Dude! He slit his own fucking throat! That's some crazy shit.

  • Another example is when a mother punches her daughter in the belly, and calls her "weak dog" - perhaps the ultimate insult among Illuminati.

  • For example, he casually shows everyone as a dead shot with a submachine gun. Illuminati kids get gun training, and are expected to excel.

  • Author Bruce Wagner is probably connected to Illuminati through birth or marriage, and apparently conceived this story as a fantasy about what would happen if some Illuminati "bloodlines" decided to use Illuminati techniques to oppose the totalitarian goals of their fellows.

  • This is a fantastic post, THANK YOU. Perhaps the most emotionally moving scene in an incredible TV series. Yes, a great choice of music.

  • Ok, thanks for the reply, greetz from Ostend/Belgium

  • Wish I could help, I don't know much about obtaining Region 2 DVDs. It's a little too obscure to find a torrent, either.

  • Could anybody help me???? I'm from Belgium and i can't find the dvd-box....
