I got to see Flash Cadillac and The Continental Kids on thier very first tour after thier debut album in Albq. NM. I was just a youngster. They actually opened the concert and left such an impression on me that I dont even remember who they opened for. Thx for the memories and I didnt know that so many of the originals had already passed on. My condolences to the families. Gracias por los memorias. peace.

Sam was not only one of the great rock sings of all-time, he was a nice man. I saw Flash and the Kids many times back when I was a chubby kid. They were never anything but very sweet to me.

@dzjc01 Since you knew Sam, can very verify the spelling of his last name? I was a huge fan of theirs back in the 70s and all the fan club stuff spelled it McFadin. Is it McFadden, which is the usual spelling? I'll be happy to change my own FCCK tribute video to reflect the fact. Thanks.

I am Sammy's youngest Sister, Jennifer. His name is spelled McFadin. He would say "I'm a Mc not a Mac...Irish, Scottish, ya ya ya....FCCK.....Be Cool....
