essentially a good character L was cooler Near could never do what L did he just picked up where L left off and won cause of evidence if L some how lived he would have pwned Kira while Near owned him ... here's how L could have lived :) he could have written his name to die in 25 days even though it would be invalid and he wouldn't die it WOULD count as a righting and you can't kill a "dead" person but it's just a theory

light did have good intensions, but what he was doing was wrong. he took lives he had no right to take, and many of those people he killed had a chance to change and live a good life. also he eventually let the power control him which led him to take innocent lives.
i admit i respect light for his will to cleanse the world, but he just took it too far. the whole point of this story is to show that one person cannot judge the world on his own. it's too dangerous of a burden to carry.
