And if it's faster then the Veyron, Bugatti will just had to increase the turbochargers power and remap the engine to get more HP, you can get 2000 hp from a W16.

Dear SSC, I am a huge fan of the Ultimate Aero and I can't wait to see the Tuatara fully perform. But I have a question that doesn't really have anything to do with the actual production of these vehicles. I think the car looks great, I really hope SSC offers this Tuatara to more journalists and television shows to review. I was surprised that for the records the Ultimate Aero set, there was minimal journalistic coverage of the car. I was wondering 1) why that was and 2) if this time around will be different? Just to add my opinion on cars that aren't visually appealing Porches top my list (nothing against them mechanicly) and the new C7 Corvettes (sorry Chevy, they look too scruched up).

@liquidgee13 the 2012 corvette is already out, and it is still a c6. the c7 will be a 2014 model year, and only a few powertrain mules have been spotted with c6 bodies on them. nobody outside the gm design studeo in detroit knows what it will look like.

The design is certainly daring, I'll grant you that, but to the point of just being spooky. It's like it wants to be an un-Ferrari, an un-Lamborghini, and un-Bugatti, an un-Pagani, but at the same time, all of the above.
I guess art and science doesn't come together in harmony too well sometimes.

Congratulations. Looks great! When will the all electric version that SSC promised be available? Your press releases 1st stated (7/12/2008) that you expected to roll out your Ultimate Aero EV prototype in February of 2009. Your next press release (1/22/09) stated that the 1st pre-production Ultimate Aero EV would be rolled out in the 2nd quarter of 2009. What happened? Never heard another word from SSC about it. Curious if you still have the motto, "Victory In Truth"?

Just thought you might want to sound like you know what you're talking about as you explain to us how you came to name your hypercar after a non-lizard (it's not a lizard) diapsid reptile, which is a relic of the Triassic Period little changed in 200 million years. (Yes, its DNA may have changed, but you couldn't tell it by looking at it. It's called neutral evolution).

Haha well said. Its always a step into a hornets nest when they try to adopt foreign names. The car industry is full of misspelled, mis interpreted names that dont translate well. Corvette being the name of a french sea vessel. Americans pronouncing Coupê like its a "Chicken coop" and the classic "Aluminum" and "tires" Also I find it funny how every american has their own way to say Hundai. HUUUR YUN-DAEY !
Why not call it something uniquely american instead of trying to sound exotic.

SSC we are dying to see this hit the streets and test track... Hopefully the Tuatara is also offered in other colors. Looks beautiful in white but Black or Red would also look amazing on this car...
