Hué is nice to see with a beach 20km out off the centre but speciali Hoi An is wurth to see. It`s an old town in chinese styl with lots of restaurants and nice hotels AND a love beach nearby. There is a school for blind people in the old centre. Visit the marble mountan close to Hoi An ( amazing). Have with the crazy busdrivers in the horoble trafic. I did it on a bicycle from north to south ( crazy).

I have booked my flight into Hanoi for FEB 5th 2012 ( I think!?!...best check that!!). I plan on traveling from Hanoi south to the capital. I want to spend at least a week to a week and a half on some of their most fantastic beaches in 4-5 star luxury .Maybe before and after that I hope to visit some orphanages and schools just so that I can appreciate my time spent there. This beach looks amazing. Any other recommendations would be good. I'm going alone, so I have no restrictions.

Im going back to Vietnam Feb,3 2011 for 3 weeks & 1 week in Siem Reap Kh. I love it there.Everything is so beautiful there ! This is my second visit there in 17 months.

@sanger12345 If you want you can stop in Da Nang,I have friends there,its beautiful.Da Nang is not "touristy" at all.There you will find My Khe Beach,fantastic. You can stay at the beautiful Furama Resort( $350 usd a night) or there are many other nice hotels. I spend 9 nights at the Golden Sea Hotel,very nice and cheap & close to the beach .The year before I stayed at the Romance Hotel,also cheao & only two blocks from the beach.Everything and just about anywhere is cheap. Hhave a great trip.
