  • BYD have now merged with mercedes, whose laughing now!

  • @scotlandglentoran so did dodge a while back, lol they needed government bail. and they still make shitty rental cars

  • I was at that auto show and those cars were so cheap... That lime-green FRVs interior reeked of something that reminded me of weed, had power seats with them all the way forward and the battery undone so no-one over 4'0" could get into it (great thinking, geniuses), and the red M3 had what looked like a ripped-off VW 1.8T badge on the engine cover. Pretty lame...

  • ADOPT THE RECLAIM STUFF, COULD BE RECYCLED!! indeed!

  • i got to say, i think the name brilliance for a brand name sounds kind of stupid

  • Attitude like that loses wars. No wonder it is a German accent.

  • the presenter is so negative

  • too many ignorant people. they dont there are many car manufacturers in china. of course not all of the chinese cars copy the designs, it depends on the money of the company. these companies are not stupid like u these ignorant guys

  • Well done .Man ,I think U know china as I do . Im a Chinese student in the UK. Cuz sometimes when we talk about the Chinese e cars .They ll always talk about the quality and the car right. It always make no sense for Chinese students,Cuz we are really dont want to improve it ,But it was just a begining ,we also need time to be stronger ,to get better quality .Right .Tks for Ur support and Ur speech .

  • They gotta start designing their cars from scratch, rather then adopting designs from Toyota or Mercedes.

Gives them a better reputation because China is known for having alot of knock off cars.

Hopefully Warren Buffet will change things alittle bit.

  • Are you going to pay for the bill for starting a design studio ground up? Stupid?

  • car is car, how much difference is there on the looks? they all looks alike. look at GM's and honda's small cars!

What matters.... is that you charge ur car....no fuel up....ahahahahahaha....

  • i wonder if it says "made in china" under the car, or any where.

    nice

  • shit cars!

  • China is definitely out in front on EV technology.

Now, if they could just hire a good translator.

  • He is a good translator only with a terrible chinese accent. the way he talked is also too formal (quote and unquote) talk like he's writing.

  • The difference between the Japanes and Chinese, is that the Japanes copied but made things better. Chinese copy and make things worse.

  • lol, how do you know? Our auto industry took off in the late 80s and early 90s. It is only 2009 now. When Japanese copied Americans, they already had an strong industrial system as well as huge body of experts (and education system), as well as past car manufactury experience (Japanese auto industry started in the 1900s, almost 100 years ahead of us). We started off with nothing. The Japanese has the full cooperation and help from the US. We are constantly put on embargo by the US.

  • Hearing you, we´d almost think China´s are full open to imports. China forbids many imports from Europe and the US, where the Chinese Governments know that local chinese companies would get crushed due to the lack of productivity. So please don´t give me this embargo bullshit!

  • @ohmannhey Indian are much much more protective of their own companies. That's why indian economy develops more slowly than China's. When the Japanese and Korean cars first came out everybody said the same thing. Even those people from countries that can't make shit talk shit about thoes new born companies. Sooner or later . We'll see.

  • Include those bombs dropped on Pearl Harbor?

  • I went to the Detroit show for the first time this year. It was the first time I saw a Chinese car in real life. They all look like cars that other manufacturers sell. There was one that looked like a Toyota Corolla and another that looked like a Toyota Yaris. Unless they start getting serious and become real manufacturers I'm never buying a Chinese car.

  • "Adopt the reclaim stuff, could be recycled"?

I saw the F0 in person. The inside literally smells like bug spray, and the back windows don't roll down.

  • oh

i guess if bmw wants to help them then more power to them

  • definitely not buying Chinese cars

i dont care how cheap they can make them

they steal other hard working peoples designs and make them their own

  • Nope, not all of Chinese carmarkers copy and steal,Brilliance have a good relationship with BMW &Italy Pininfarina and they help Brillinace to design and improve the products.

  • People like you were saying the same thing 40 years ago to Japanese cars and 20 years ago to Korean cars. You need more imagination and dont be so stubborn

  • I totally like Ur opinion .Thats exactly .

  • Sue them. What are you waiting for? "Chinese cars have 4 wheels!! It is a copy from Ford model T!!...blah blah..."

  • Maybe you should creep in on the rest of my year old conversation before you write me off as an ignorant being.

  • o.o

  • most of these cars look like copies of upscale cars...and don't think these cars are safe...im sure you seen that brilliance crash test video

  • As long as it is safer than a GM junk then it is good enough for US market.

  • @caraddict520 the brilliance test videos are fake.those videos are not even from China. one can figure that out by the background
