  • This thing should be nominated for an industrial design award.

I just bought three of the "60W" version from a Home Depot store. I bought one on Sat. and liked itf so much that I ordered one from Amazon that night and went back to Home Depot on Sun. and bought two more. I paid about $26 apiece for them. Home Depot, but not Amazon, has the "75W" version reviewed here, but I've resisted paying the $40 for it.

I hope today with LED lamps is like 15 years ago with digital cameras.

  • Didn't light up, USELESS review is USELESS!

  • Good review, but would like to have seen it turned on. I know it is hard to show a bulb lighting up in a video, but it would be worth trying...

  • 1100 / 17 = 65 lm/w for this 75 W replacement...

    800 / 12.5 = 64 lm/w for the 60 W replacement...

NEW bulb (due out 15 Feb, 2012)

    Philips L-Prize LED Bulb 93.4 lumens/watt - 910 lumen output...

    $50.00 (not official)

  • Nice review. First one I've seen for this particular bulb. I'm a light-bulb aficionado, otherwise, LED light bulbs are not ready for prime time. This particular bulb is not as nearly efficient as its 800 lumen brother. I'm hoping for the Switch to be a good bulb and prices at $29 for the 100 watt equivalent.

  • Ooops

    "Consumes 75 Watts"

    Nope :-)
