@denisestarr1 yes i do glue them and about the gesso it depends on what i am planning to do. don't worry keep practicing anyways journaling is not supposed to be all perfect it is your playground where you practice your art.
So I can just paint right over the pages of an old book? Does it matter what type of paint? What would you recommend for someone new to painting. I have some acrylics I purchased for the conference I haven't used yet and some watercolors.
@vo31216 you can use acrylics or watercolors anything is okay, remember a journal is your playground where you can experience with materials or mediums so have fun and play :-)

Hi! My 1st journal looked like this also; lots of background pages. I was told to paste pics, letters and add journaling to make it more interesting and thicker. But then, u probably love ur journal just the way it is. Love your happy music!

do you glue pages together to make them thicker? do you gesso first? I am trying this, but the pages are so thin. loved your video.
