The creed of Christianity is our God saved us from our imperfection/sin by his perfection and establishing a covenant by his death and ressurection. What has Allah claimed to do to save us from our sins? Does he just give out a bunch of rules to follow? If so alot of religions preach rules. I think the point of what I said totally flew over your head. We all sin. That is the human condition. Sin cannot stand in the presence of God. Therefore a perfect sinless sacrifice is nessecary to remove the sin. This sacrifice makes us perfect so we may enter Gods presence. What I need to know is what has Allah offered us to bridge the gap between our sin and his perfection? It cannot be our works, Isaiah says they are filthy rags before God.

God being just as well as merciful requires the death of someone for the sin commited. Through Adam death entered the world. Through Jesus life entered the world. What other way could it have been done other than raising himself from the dead after taking all sin to hell? This was an act of mercy of a just God. Even your Quran requires someone pays with their life if they sin. What good is that life as a sacrifice if it is already under a curse?
If you are talking about if a person where to committed adultery or murder, than the punishment is their death in this life. Could the word have been the authority of God to decree ANYTHING in His kingdom? also, not all sin requires death i.e. grand theft and fornication are public sins that dont revolve killing, just physical pain. Minor sins really dont have a public punishment (that i know of) and can ALWAYS be forgiven by God.

It is difficult to find the common denominators between christianity and islam except for the monotheism.
Christians and Jews both believe God to be "blood-thirsty" and requiring a perfect sacrifice to cover over our sins...But you seperated from the hebrews at Abraham I think it was and never recieved the Mosaic law. I do however believe in Genesis it makes mention of Abraham offering sacrifices to God. I am not sure how you view this.

sorry, this is jackelboy, i am signed on my sisters name. The verse i just sent to was asking the jews and the christians if Abraham (PBUH) was a jew or a christian. Who did Abraham worship? He worship God, as one, and only one. The only thing he sacrificed was lamb, in replace of HIS son. He did not sacrifice his son. So why would God, Almighty? Abraham was a muslim (salam means to surrender and adding "mu" and dropping a vowel makes the verb a noun). Not a jew or christian.

Abraham worshipped God. He was not Jew or Xian. No religious format was laid out at his time. Then as it is now it was justification by faith even before he recieved the covenant of circumcision.

The loss of Isaac's life would not have paid that price for any sin, and thus the shedding of his blood would not happen, but Abraham had passed the test of complete faith and commitment to Yahveh, our Heavenly Father

Yes the incident with Isaac and Abraham was to foreshadow God giving up his only Son.
Jesus prayed in the garden that if it be Gods will, not his that the cup he was about to drink would be removed from him. So through prayer he gave himself fully to the will of the father even to the point of his death. If it were not willing then the sacrifice would have been pretty much useless.

Jesus didn't claim deity until later on in the gospels when he was asked if he was the messiah and he said yes. This got the jews all excited making them want to kill him. The message was meant to be veiled so that only people with sincere hearts would see Jesus as being the messiah in the parables. John says Jesus is the one who came as the light of the world. John was Jesus' forerunner.
Jesus fulfilled over 300 messianic prophecies written by many different prophets.

ur comment got deleted, so i reposted it for you. Individually, we cannot punish, we do not have that right (except in a few cases). But as a community, we can punish, rightfully. In Islam, we cant just punish everyone accused, no, there are so many rules to follow. For instance, for adultery, You need 4 different witness who do not know each other witness the same adulteress act. Why? because the punishment is so severe. Besides, did John say "Jesus is God" or did Jesus say "I am God"?

Jesus was betrayed for 30 pieces of silver; His clothes were divided amongst the guards and lots cast for them. Not one bone in his body was broken, but rather a spear releasing his blood and water from the membrane in his chest. He fulfilled the law putting away the power of it to convict us in the court of God. As for the whole punishment for adultery or whatever other sin. I think we are all guilty of it in our heart and one time or another.

What is the creed of Islam?
The creed of Christianity is our God saved us from our imperfection/sin by his perfection and establishing a covenant by his death and ressurection. What has Allah claimed to do to save us from our sins? Does he just give out a bunch of rules to follow? If so alot of religions preach rules. Our attempts to follow a perfect Gods rules can never save us. Only accepting his grace with humility can save us. So again I ask! What has Allah done for us?

If God wanted to remove this concept of sin by "sacrificing" His "son," then He, All Mighty, would have simply not given free will to Adam and the children of Adam. Do you agree or not?

I think the point of what I said totally flew over your head. We all sin. That is the human condition. Sin cannot stand in the presence of God. Therefore a perfect sinless sacrifice is nessecary to remove the sin. This sacrifice makes us perfect so we may enter Gods presence. What I need to know is what has Allah offered us to bridge the gap between our sin and his perfection? It cannot be our works, Isaiah says they are filthy rags before God.

Why would God need to sacrifice? Does He not have the title "Most Merciful" and "All Forgiving," along with the titles "All Powerful"? In Islam, we are only accountable for ourselves. If i do wrong, i get the sin, not my children. If i do goodness, i get the deed, not my children. Allah, the Most Merciful Master, can forgive a being as long as s/he asks for it. If you dont ask, then you dont get forgiven. Plain and simple. Why would God need to sacrifice? Please tell me.

Jesus established a covenant with man when he preached. There are 3 that testify. The blood the water and the spirit and they are in agreement. We accept mans testimony but Gods testimony is greater...It goes on to say, In this is the testimony. God has given us eternal life. In this life is his son. He who has the son has life, he who does not have the son does not have life.
Jesus established the covenant and covered our sins by his blood out of his mercy.

And he confirmed his deity and his power over the death we no longer need to taste because of his mercy by his ressurection. Forgiveness comes by blood. Without blood there cannot be forgiveness. The supreme mercy you are looking for is found in Jesus who is the personification of Gods word. God with us. He became death and sin for us. Someone needed to pay. Only he could accompish this.

My question is why would the Creator of All, the All Mighty and the All Powerful need to sacrifice? Do you see kings sacrificing anything to obtain authority, or to pardon? No. So why would the King of kings? I am sorry, but i believe that God does not need to sacrifice anything, His will is His decree, and His decree will always happen. God being just as well as merciful requires the death of someone for the sin commited. Through Adam death entered the world. Through Jesus life entered the world. What other way could it have been done other than raising himself from the dead after taking all sin to hell? This was an act of mercy of a just God. Even your Quran requires someone pays with their life if they sin. What good is that life as a sacrifice if it is already under a curse?

If you are talking about if a person where to committed adultery or murder, than the punishment is their death in this life. But that is so they will not receive a harsher punishment in the next life. But that is the point, humans must get punish, not prophets or even God. Do you punish village for the crime of one person? Do you punish one person because of the crimes of the village? No. Not even God does that (but the righteous who died will get justification). Again, God doesnt need sacrifice

So look at all the possible sins. Lying; Adultery; Murder etc. What is the difference between them? Do they not all grieve God? Do they not all place a barrier between us and God? What is the difference between me having a bad temper and almost killing someone out of rage and someone who was succesful in killing someone out of rage? The act of sin is in the heart. All men are pigs. We all look at other women quite intently unfortunately. We are all guilty of adultery.

I believe Jesus to be God since there is only one God.
In the beginning of John (the gospel)
it says, "In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God and the word was God. In Isaiah Jesus is referred to as Immanuel which means God with us.
Jesus is a part of God here on earth with us and he was the personification of the word of God. Everything he did embodied everything the prophets of the OT said.
Who better to stand against the law which brings condemnation than God himself?

So if we are all guilty of sin in some way or another whether it be in our hearts or if we carried it out we are all deserving of death according to the Mosaic law and your Quran as well. Since no one can stand under the law (which was merely a tutor/or a shadow of things to come) there comes a nessecity of someone to fulfill the law. Jesus became the circumcision; the sacrifice and the high priest taking the law (which brings death) upon himself.
