I sincerely feel sorry for this girl. I went thru the same thing when I was a kid. Alter calls where people held my arms up telling me to keep saying things over and over like, 'I love my Sundays",..hoping it would start to sound like speaking in tongues, and ultimately I would leaved saved. The Pentecostal Churches are one of the worst attacks on Christianity on Earth. My God is about love and compassion, not hatred and fear. Speaking in tongues in church is frowned upon in the Bible. @sstcart While this may be a country church, not every church is the same, but what matters is glorifying God. Im Apostolic too, and I love it! I used to be baptist, yet I found so much more, and am 18, and serving God fervently. And to let you know 1st Corinthians 14:8, he says "I thank God I speak in tongues more than you all" and he goes on to talk about the Gift of Tongues, and Tongues, which are separate, while speaking to the Church, so it is most defiantly not frowned upon!
@sstcart Also look at the day of Pentecost, if God frowned upon it, then why did he choose tongues? And did you know that all accounts in Acts, when someone was saved, they spoke in tongues? You can go and read it too! And if they had not, and had only been baptized for instance, they were told about the Holy Ghost, accompanied with tongues, and did receive.I have never felt closer in my life to God, than when praying in tongues. Also check 1 Cor. 13:1 and Mark 16:17! Hope I could encourage you!
@MikelPerdue The tongues mentioned in Scripture were Languages of ACTUAL people and not adulterated babel. In fact when the Spirit of God Came upon The Church, People understood what the apostles were saying in their OWN LANGUAGE. The tongues that Paul spoke about were actual languages...he was teaching the followers of Christ that ones salvation is not gained through knowledge of different languages and in fact goes on to say that languages would perish.

And I in no way believe that ones salvation is gained through different languages, but It is a sign to the unbeliever and believer alike, that one received salvation, a visual, and audible sign, living proof. And on the day of pentecost, two different happenings took place. Tongues, as being the initial evidence of baptism in the Holy Ghost, and the Gift of Tongues, mentioned in Corin. which is a gift to spread the Gospel.

Furthermore your reference to Corinthians List tongues as the LEAST of the GIFTS. The INITIAL EVIDENCE of the Holy Ghost is LOVE. Charity is the Gift that operates all of the others. Well I do not know what to say. But its widely believed, that speaking in tongues, is being misunderstood with languages. The Hebrew/Armaic to English translations of Bible, takes the literal form called Tongue. Most Asian, Middle East Asian dialects do not have the exact literal form for the word "language", but "tongues". Just my thought, I am not here to criticize anyone for their religious ideals though. I HAVE seen this. I see it ALL the time! I first got the baptism of the Holy Spirit in 2003 in the privacy of my own home! I spoke in hebrew! I don't speak hebrew! Jesus is AMAZING!! A couple weeks ago I was slain in the spirit twice.. Fist I couldnt stop dancing and jumping! Then the second time BOOM! Down I went. The is NO better feeling then the Holy Spirit. Once you get it you KNOW in fact Jesus IS the son of God.

@mrql123 I was talking about New Jerusalem, not the churches. I only attend as an intercessor now, where and when I am called. Falling on the floor and seizures are demonic, but this child is obviously fully aware. The gestures usually doesn't last long as one learns to be still in divine fellowship, unless it is encouraged. @23babydab They were simply lifting some burdens from her. True intercessors, they know their stuff. Often, touching is bad, imparting bad things, but I discern nothing amiss here. Even by sight you can see the Lord filling her lungs, this be the real deal. My only issue is that so many congregations like this are happy to keep the Holy Spirit in house, they place their lamp under a bushel. I was new to the holy ghost and had a pastor pray over me and it didnt happen. I waited and had it done again and well about 5 months of waiting and I had decided I was never ever gonna do or say to minmic others if i felt the spirit and that is how I owuld know it was real to me. I used to be baptist, yet I found so much more, and am 18, and serving God fervently. And to let you know 1st Corinthians 14:8, he says "I thank God I speak in tongues more than you all" and he goes on to talk about the Gift of Tongues, and Tongues, which are separate, while speaking to the Church, so it is most defiantly not frowned upon!

@sstcart Also look at the day of Pentecost, if God frowned upon it, then why did he choose tongues? And did you know that all accounts in Acts, when someone was saved, they spoke in tongues? You can go and read it too! And if they had not, and had only been baptized for instance, they were told about the Holy Ghost, accompanied with tongues, and did receive.I have never felt closer in my life to God, than when praying in tongues. Also check 1 Cor. 13:1 and Mark 16:17! Hope I could encourage you!

In fact when the Spirit of God Came upon The Church, People understood what the apostles were saying in their OWN LANGUAGE. The tongues that Paul spoke about were actual languages...he was teaching the followers of Christ that ones salvation is not gained through knowledge of different languages and in fact goes on to say that languages would perish.

Well I do not know what to say. But its widely believed, that speaking in tongues, is being misunderstood with languages. The Hebrew/Armaic to English translations of Bible, takes the literal form called Tongue. Most Asian, Middle East Asian dialects do not have the exact literal form for the word "language", but "tongues". Just my thought, I am not here to criticize anyone for their religious ideals though. I HAVE seen this. I see it ALL the time! I first got the baptism of the Holy Spirit in 2003 in the privacy of my own home! I spoke in hebrew! I don't speak hebrew! Jesus is AMAZING!! A couple weeks ago I was slain in the spirit twice.. Fist I couldnt stop dancing and jumping! Then the second time BOOM! Down I went. The is NO better feeling then the Holy Spirit. Falling on the floor and seizures are demonic, but this child is obviously fully aware. The gestures usually doesn't last long as one learns to be still in divine fellowship, unless it is encouraged. Even by sight you can see the Lord filling her lungs, this be the real deal. I am a born again believer that possesses the Holy Spirit and I can tell you that this is not the same spirit I have. Test the spirits. This makes me sick that is how I know it's not of God.

WOW! This brought back some wonderful childhood memories. Thank God He is the same yesterday, today and forever. If you do not know Him, then you have no idea. This is far from child abuse. It is the most wonderful and precious experience to be in the divine presence of God. It brings peace like nothing else in life. It gives boldness to witness. Praise the Lord!
