I've read that you can believe in God and practice Wicca. I don't remember where, but I know that I read it. It caught my attention because I wasn't sure of that either. I'm not sure if you should trust my word on that though because I could've read from a faulty source.
Wicca is actually a Deist religion. So all Wiccans believe in God, they just don't pray to or worship him because his existence doesn't really effect human lives.
Instead, Wiccans commune with Jungian archetypes that represent spirit and nature. The most popular of these are the Horned god and Triple goddess.
Wiccans tend to define god/God differently than many other religions. But most trads generally allow specific deities to be used/channeled in spells or rites, and a "patron deity" (specific god/dess favored by the Wiccan) isn't uncommon.
That said, spirituality is an individual process rather than a democratic one, so you can ultimately believe whatever you want.
And there exist "Christian Wiccans," (as opposed to "Christian Witches"), but it sounds silly to me. Weird, but so what?

The word witch is an Anglo Saxon (=Northern European) based word and traces back to the goddess Freya and her Cult which absolutely was dark. They used aggressive magic, did dream hauntings, and trafficked with dangerous spirits known as "svartalfar" or dark elves.
This modern, Neopagan / Wiccan veiw is sickening. The Craft / Warlock is more accurate than people think.

Craft is also VERY accurate in how it portrays the whole 'karma' element of magic and spells...it's always amazed me how so many so called 'withces' shout the praises of movies like Practical Magic.. which IS a great movie... but dis movies like the Craft...especially when the Craft really does show the how,why and tribulations of spell work with those who are most drawn to it... Only Fairuza Balk would have the balls to play someone like Nancy Downs! If they make a remake (God forbid), finding a replacement for Balk will be one hell of a challenge.

Actually, they had wiccas on set of the film for authenticity and Fairuza Balk, who plays the character of Nancy (the goth girl) is a wicca as well. Watch the movie and then you'll get it.
i agree in essence, and this is kinda the most accurate portrayal of The Craft ever, Charmed is not as good as this. it contains more ritual work etc.

Only Fairuza Balk would have the balls to play someone like Nancy Downs! If they make a remake (God forbid), finding a replacement for Balk will be one hell of a challenge.

Wicca is an earth based religion. This is really cheap commercialism. What you are seeing has very little to do with what Wicca / Witchcraft is really about.

Actually, they had wiccas on set of the film for authenticity and Fairuza Balk, who plays the character of Nancy (the goth girl) is a wicca as well. Watch the movie and then you'll get it.

i agree in essence, and this is kinda the most accurate portrayal of The Craft ever, Charmed is not as good as this. it contains more ritual work etc.

this is not a video about wicca. this video is about the movie the craft and giving us 2 bad points is so "pointless".
The girls here are not wiccan witches, are witches in a more common way.. so i don't get why get angry for that -_-;
Also we are wiccan too and know the different you're talking about but still disappointing about movie like this is pointless.

So very true, but this isn't so much a pourtral of modern day wicca as a tribute to the film itself; and besides, every one can enjoy a little FICTION every now and again. As a wiccan you should try and be more open minded to others creativity.

The woman playing Nancy in the movie is the only one who is Wiccan, and owns a shop in Los Angeles. One of my favorite movies.

wow .. this is the opnly movie ive seen that theyve done SUPER DUPER good on. meaning, the effects, since its a 1996 movie.. because ive seen movies that theyve made in 2001, and the graphics suck! LOL. im a lil drunk now, but yeah. this movie ROCKS!
