Rolling doesn't seem very useful in this game. In the first game, rolling was great, but you take too much damage on rolls in Dark Souls. I think if Robo had grabbed a Spear, he would have an easier time in these lower levels, since he could then keep the shield up while fighting. Spear/rapier are my recommended beginner weapons for melee.

In most adventure games, blunt weapons seem to be effective against heavily armored enemies. The Morning Star might be a better weapon against stone enemies like the gargoyle, and whatever the hell that thing is guarding the forest.

Demon Titanite upgrades the Black Knight Swords. The 1st Black gives a Longsword, The one on the Tower that you sniper shot the dragon is a Great Sword.

Go Kill the Dragon on the bridge when you get a chance. All you have to do is take on the Knight in the Tower above the poison Rats where you 1st came into the area. Once up top and after killing the Knight; You can snipe the Dragon from the top with a Single Arrow for an amazing 10k Souls.

@Crazycupmuffin I'm aka cgrigg75 u need to make sure that the dragon is not on the bridge where the foot soldiers are or on the other side. If you already have the Bonfire under the dragon open & the Gate is open for you to travel to the area where the Armored Warthog was; Then the best way is to make sure the dragon is where he should be by going under the bridge as if you're going to get the Drake Sword. If he's there then all you need to do is go up to the top where the Tower Black Knight is.

Reason why I say this is b/c most games that are console based will most likely NOT be "patched" as they have already been through Q&A Testers & given to the public. MMO's for PC can be "Patched".

@TheRealPyxx What in the world are you talking about? Console games get patched all the time! Demon's Souls got patched to remove various bugs. Killing the dragon in a single shot has to be unintended. From both my standpoint and the developers'. It's simply bad game design to make an extremely tough enemy that can be killed in one hit, unless it's done a certain way, and even then it's bad game design. It is most likely unintended.

@Amainville93 no; Let me clarify things. There are "UPDATES" not patches. Patches are for MMO's. Updates are for consoles in which improves performance or adds to gameplay. ~ Patches Fix certain glitches or flaws within the game. Tell me a game that is console based that has a problem fixed. Most UPDATES are basically content added to the game. Rather it be a small thing such as costumes or additional characters to more added content such as maps. Patches are fixes that the designer screwed up.

No, don't waste souls on the Drake sword. It's damage might seem nice now but it doesn't scale with stats at all, so even if you increase your str or dex, the sword will stay at the same damage range while other weapons that are cheaper to upgrade will eventually surpass it.

First of all, I think u shouldnt go to the forest until after you beat the gargoyle and ring the bell that he is guarding. Next, you are right to keep on upgrading the Uchigatana if u upgrade it enough it will become much stronger. Also, when u upgrade it to +10 u can than add on fire, lightning, or make it divine. this is were the demon titinate is useful. By the way in order to upgrade further than +10 u must find another blacksmith further in the game. Thumbs up so Ghostrobo can see. 8D
