  • 5 years ago, I didnt know what games to buy with my grad money. This big guy at Gamestop recommended FF 10 and SotC when he saw I was getting KH 1 and 2. I came back a month later and we talked about both having a great story and amazing music. Today's our 4 year anniversay. We've been listening to osts and anime osts. I would have never heard this amazing track if it weren't for him.

  • I dont care what anyone says about this: Im a guy and I cried so much to this song!!

  • @HellenicSacredKin I am grateful they live on at least in Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey.

  • Men don't cry. Their eyeballs just sweat. This is one of the best eyeball workout songs ever.

  • *dies*

This may be our last chance.

    :(((((((((

  • manly tears

  • To Zanarkand + rainy mood = tears

  • Here comes the man tears

  • Why are people so excited about the remake? Is it newcomers? Because most of us who have been involved with the series since early to mid 90's know Square as it is now is going to destroy it and turn it into something for the tween and teen casual gamers. Good bye to level grinding for hours to fight Penance (for those who owned the International Version). Good bye to turn based. Good bye Final Fantasy X. I dedicate this song to you. Thankfully I still own the old faithful originals!

  • I hope the keep the music and gameplay the same. The only thing they're allowed to change is the graphics! (and maybe the voice acting)

  • @koyokoyo78 Its only a HD remastering, not a remake, calm your tits.

  • @gossamer999 Yuna is the main character of FFX-2 and it's an holly shit...

  • dammit why remake this one? i say remake the original FF in full rpg style, make it take months to beat, instead of boss rushing it in a day

  • @seektheself well, as much as I would enjoy having the originals remade, this is the only one they haven't re-released at any other time on any other console. But I will say I'm gonna enjoy this game and it's 200+ hours of content.

  • @ZuIu2012 i like the game there just doesnt seem to be as much to do in it, once you get to the end of the pilgramage and sin its like nothing really opens up, sure the bosses are tough, but thats just rediculous getting everyone strong enough to take them :P

  • @seektheself So true

  • Oh dear *cries*

  • Utterly flawless in every way; I seize up with emotion from the very first note and the tears start to fall every time the music swells. One of the defining pieces of music in my life.

  • I expspecially love the part at 2.28

  • And thus many man tears were shed

  • "I want this song to be played on my funereal"

    \\My mother.

  • That sounds so pretty ;_;

  • I'm a man and this totally doesn't bring me to tears. *blinks wet eyes several times when no one is looking*

  • When i die this song will be the very last memory I have......

  • "Listen to my story ..." .

  • Great to hear all of the people commenting who were there Saturday night. I had an amazing time, I was in the box next to SquareEnix Europe and Japan and was invited into the box afterwards to meet the team and have my photo taken as I'd been at the VIP event in the afternoon as well, it was sublime.

This track had me teary eyed, I have to admit!

  • I'd like to say this made me cry at Distant Worlds London but I was already a puddle 10 seconds into the Prelude at the opening

  • @ChrisAdams1991 My friend who has never played a final fantasy was blubbing about the same time as you then :o) I was soon to follow! Such an awesome night.

  • What a day, the other day. Meeting good friends I had not seen for a year and FFXIV Linkshell friends I have spoken to daily for the last year for the first time. Culminating in hearing Distant Worlds' UK premier. Sublime. Already preparing to book tickets for next year.

  • Distant worlds yesterday was Amazing... I loved this piece.

  • I went to Distant Worlds yesterday - this piece was absolutely beautiful! :D

  • @JarouqueXIII I was trying to hard not to cry in my seat at this yesterday :)

  • @JarouqueXIII Then I was not alone :)

  • AAHHHH! GOOSEBUMPS!

  • I don't want to play FFX, but this is still one of my favorite pieces of FF music. I kind of wish there was a way to port this into VII...

  • 2:30.... 0_0

  • what's distant worlds II ? I realize i could just google it but.............

  • @cambopride1 From what I understand, Distant Worlds is the name of the orchestra (or the entire program, at least) that does world tours playing specifically Final Fantasy music. When it says Distant Worlds II, it's the second CD they made of Final Fantasy collections.

  • cool enough.

  • One person had his father fucked by Yu Yevon

  • ffVIII & ffX made my youth. This piece is just nostalgic, for me at least, there are no more FF's like these two. Thanks so much for uploading!.

  • Roger Ebert has no mouth so now he can't complain

  • <3

  • this music can definately paint a picture of a beautiful place

  • love every single game of final fantasy

  • fuck this person who said that FFX wasn't the best game . . . FFX is the best game ever to exist damn!!

  • @megataikotai While I don't agree fully, it truely is a magnificent game. Has the story that makes the most amount of sense and is actually reasonable. Gameplay is truly awesome, and the soundtrack....my god. Excellent game.

  • @Satansapocalypse what is the part that you don't agree . .??

and you right the game is a excellent game . .totally agree@Satansapocalypse.

    haha

  • @megataikotai About FFX being the best game. It's high up there on my list, but several games beat it. (Silent Hill 2, Devil May Cry 3, Resident Evil Remake, Demons Souls).

  • @megataikotai It's not even the best Final Fantasy-game out there. However it's still without a doubt a great game.

  • @ZealSeraph then what is your ff best game ??

    ffx is the best . . !!!

  • @megataikotai My favorite is FFVI, but I that too has some minor things that would need fixing, mainly the fact that it's too easy. Still, it's one of my favorite games of all time, even though it might not be ranked as such by the masses. But as said, FFX is an amazing game too and well worth owning, just like any of the first ten Fantasies.

  • @ZealSeraph everybody has their own opinion.

    thank for that . .

  • FFX IS GETTING AN HD RELEASE! LIKE IF YOU ARE EXCITED!!!! :O

  • @IchigoKurosaki77 where did you get that information, if I can know it?

(seriously, please send me the page where you got it to my inbox)

  • @alegremetalhead Google it, its been known for a bit, its being re-released in HD on the PS3 and PSVita

  • @IchigoKurosaki77 Im excited for Yuna, Rikku, Wakka, Auron, Kimarhi, Lulu...not so much Tidus

  • @formosamortem And I love you for that ^^

  • @formosamortem Yuna should have been the main character.

  • @IchigoKurosaki77 Nope. It means I have to buy a PS3 D:

  • @IchigoKurosaki77 I'll be excited if they Re-release ALL of their Final Fantasy series from the very first one until XIII into HD and CGI-ed.

  • @TommyIrianto You realize XIII is already HD, right?

  • @MiasmaMelancholy Yea, but still.. it isn't "Advent Children Complete" cinematic HD throughout the whole game.. Just some bits and pieces of those pre-rendered ones. Even so, it can still be improved even more.

  • @IchigoKurosaki77 I want to see VI in an HD release.

  • @RHCowboy You are a HORRIBLE person! If you want an HD VI remake, that must mean that you also want the universe to implode due to epicness!

  • I knew the moment I heard this beautiful song that everything my mom said about video games was total BULLSHIT

  • I went to the Distant Worlds concert at UCLA two days ago.....they played this.

    PURE EPICNESS!!!!

  • If I could cry, I would bawl my eyes out every time I heard this piece. One of the most beautiful and moving pieces ever written

  • Kinda Joe Hisaishi-esque. I like this arrangement very much. ^^

  • If it was so easy making new final fantasy music, I would of made trillions. I'd even spend millions of paper and ink.

  • this just rips my heart out every time I hear this

  • I wonder how "Other worlds" would sound like xp btw this is an epic cover. It felt like I was watching that endin again. Almost cried like a baby...again

  • No matter how many times I listen to this song, and on a variety of instruments, I fall in love with this song over and over again.

  • Comment removed

  • 0:27 And a tear begins to fall...

  • Another song going to my list to play at my funeral! XD

  • Squarenix just started very well, with FFX, FFXI and FFXII but after 2007 they started to became bad :(

  • @bpmmaniacraul "Every story must have an ending" Auron-FFX

  • @bpmmaniacraul the reason they became bad is because they stopped caring about the fans they already had... they got to a point where the story and the experience took second priority to graphics and a simple system so that they could draw in new fans... even if it meant losing favor with the "veteran" fans...

  • @Brett276 SO TRUE. FFXIII IS SUCH A PIECE OF POOP. sure the graphics were great but there was no connection with the characters or plotline at all. i miss the old final fantasy days. ):

  • @ImATurtlexx I agree with you 100% It's was pretty and the music is good. But it feels like an empty grind game. I didn't strive for the rest of the story like in the other final fantasy...in fact I had so much trouble getting myself to beat ffxiii it was ridiculous. =/ Snow is a Seifer want to be, Lighting is a Cloud want to be, Vanille is a Riku want to be, there is no hope for Hope. The only ones I liked where Sazh and Fang. And that was just a little.

  • @ImATurtlexx I have to disagree with you on that, it wasn't the best FF (I give that to FF6, which I played after XIII), but I truly enjoyed the game. That's not saying I maxed anyone, hell I didn't do most of the Pulse missions, but I thought it was a really good game. Music and graphics were great (although it got kind of annoying how they reused the same theme in several songs). My only real gripe with the game is that some characters characteristics were pretty anime cliche to say the least.

  • "Listen to my story, this may be our last chance"

  • @Sujetkandratx5 Wow man that quote made my heart drop.

  • For some reason...when I heard 0:08, I teared up, like right after the piano part.

  • I saved up all year, so I could fly the 1500k's from Adelaide to Sydney to see them perform this live :)

  • @satokyandai Did the same, but from Perth. :)

  • @rithblog i did it from melbourne ;D not as far as you guys but still!

  • i soo wish i knew how to play the piano.....:(

  • 1 PERSON DISLIKED! HOW DARE THEY... typical... always has to be 1 person.

  • PROFOUND AWESOMITY.

  • Nobuo Uematsu........ what a legend

  • Like Like Like Like!!! I'll always love final fantasy orchestra songs !!! Love nobuo uematsu <3 <3

  • I was never a big fan of X, but I've always been a big fan of this piece of music.

  • this is my favorite piece of game music ever ... and that will never change

  • *Tears*

  • Heavenly music played by angels...

  • D: I bet the London tickets are all sold out.... *cries*

  • im having eargasms listening to this

  • Who's going to Krakow in Poland on the 20th May!!? I can't wait :D

  • 1 person missed the "likes" button.

  • I feel personally offended by whoever disliked this.

  • You can't help but look up at the screen from 2:18 to 3:15 =D

Just when i thought To Zanarkand couldn't get any better

  • Just. . . beautiful. . . this was the last true final fantasy. . .

  • @AlesandrosX Nah, sorry, the IX was the last true final fantasy. But that doesn't mean that FF X isn't great.

  • @Feamelwen

FFX was the "last, true" Final Fantasy because that was the final game where all (most) of the original game crew worked together. . . and then Nobuo Uematsu left, taking away his musical genius and one of the core elements of the series. . . atmosphere. Without his music, final fantasy just isn't "final fantasy".

  • @AlesandrosX Yeah, but the fact that FF X was somehow linear and almost completely humorless was a turning point for me. Yeah, it has other great elements : combat system, rich story which makes us think about religion and the consequences of our acts, music, ect ... But something in the atmosphere was just so alien to me, unlike FF IX, FF VIII, FF VII and those before that ... I don't really know what it is, I may not say that the magic was already gone, but to me, that's when the change began.

  • @Feamelwen

I can agree to that. FFX was very different from the previous games.

  • @Feamelwen

Maybe the voice acting, some parts I was "what the hell..." when Kimari talks, Wakka`s racism or the famous Tidus laugh scene. Before you need to imagine how a character talk and stuff like that.

  • @Feamelwen Probably the storyline setting. Unlike previous installments of FF, all the designs in Spira was largely based on Asian cultures instead of fantasy Medieval Europe. That being said, FFX really gave off different feeling in the atmosphere than the previous games did, especially to those who played FF since the NES or SNES era.

  • @keioII It was also a huge graphical leap from 9 which was stylized [midget characters, mostly] but was pretty fun! Ten was epic too, and also the first voiced final fantasy game ever released.

  • Just stopped everything I did to listen to this.

  • I kinda like it better with just a piano. It sounds more sad that way.

  • もうすぐニューヨークに来るのを待っています。。

  • @igotlaidthismorning

    I will be there!

  • I... love... this... so... *cries*

  • :')

  • good thing I bought this CD in toronto

  • I wanna play this on Piano...

  • Ah, I feel so much passion and emotion in this song. Definitely one of the best songs in any Final Fantasy soundtrack. Nobuo Uematsu, you are a musical god!

  • I feel goosebumps everytime I listen to this song.

  • so beautiful... i would love for them to perform this at London in November, was the first Final Fantasy game i played and ever since i have been in love with the games, i used to listen too 'Zanarkand' over and over again... such a beautiful piece.

  • @xxlulabelle123xx im going to that! and yes they are playing it!

  • @poolofjebus Awesome :D

  • @xxlulabelle123xx You too man?! T.T Before SE killed the games I had the chance to play this... everything about it it's just... beautiful

  • @GodsEaterAldath From what i have played after FFX the games went downhill. I wish they didn't make X-2, FFX was perfect the way it was, the first game i ever cried at, and then X-2 came along and ruined it, I did not mind XIII though, but it is not as good as the older classic FF games. But To Zanarkand and Ending Theme of Final Fantasy X are probably my favourite songs in the FF soundtracks, or even most soundtracks in general, they are so beautiful.

  • That's segzie.

  • beautiful song i miss final fantasyX it changed my life

  • isnt this the same arrangement played in tour de japon?

  • My favorite arrangement of Zanarkand. This just captures the emotion of the piece perfectly. Simply fantastic. No other version comes close to this passion!

  • don't know why, andi don't even rly like X that much, but i totally dropped a friggen tear!

  • Gave me Goosebumps, Absolutely Masterful. I would even guess this was recorded for Distant Worlds I but, not used and they just added to this soundtrack. Sounds very Distant Worlds I-ish

  • @berettadreams It was always meant for Distant Worlds II. While yes, this song got into the concert long before other songs on this soundtrack, it was more of the preview bonus than anything.

  • @DreamSword It was actually played during the opening night of the first Distant Worlds in Stockholm, as was Terra's theme. They were probably just saving some of the fan favourites for the second CD, to avoid making it seem like a "best of the rest" type of record.

  • @94mav98 Had you bothered to fully read my comment, you'd see I mention how the song got in early.

  • @DreamSword And your point is? You claimed that this piece was always intended for DWII, when in fact it was part of the original DW setlist all along. It didn't just make its way into the original setlist halfway through the first tour as a preview. It was there from the get go. This means you were wrong. Deal with it.

  • @94mav98 No, it may've been part of the concert but it was not on the disk. Again, I mentioned this.

  • @DreamSword Ah, we've simply misunderstood each other then. I was talking about the DW tours, not the soundtracks. :)

  • Excellent piano work
