Hola quisiera saber la editorial que publicó el libro y donde puedo conseguirlo, esta novela la pude disfrutar en el año de 1985, lo editaron en dos tomos pero jamas tube la precausión de anotar el autor y la editorial, ya que una amiga me dejo disfrutar de su novela, y desde entonces estoy buscando a tai-pan, alguien me puede ayudar a conseguirlo, la pelicula no es mas que un insulto, el libro es increible.

James Clavell was an awesome. The book "Tai-pan" was awesome. This movie does no justice to either Clavell's talent as a writer or the book. I wish someone does a remake of this movie.

May May is Struan's concubine and as such, it's her duty is to please Struan. In an effort to surprise him, May May had a european-style dress made, thinking it would please him. He was so surprised however, that his first reaction was of clear disgust. Before he could realize it, Struan's disgust was interpreted by May May a as failure in her duty - therefore losing face in front of her servants. Her only way of saving face is to endure his punishment, which he give but mostly fakes. Great book
