  • This is the same beat for XV - The Kick

  • This sounds remarkably similar to a soundtrack song on the film "Sunshine". Both of these movies very epic

  • are you mainly a FL Studio user now or do you still go from one to another.

  • weird....halo 4 brought me here

    nice music though

  • Nice sound in this Cover! Could you tell me, are the soundbanks your are sequencing here, from FL's or are you using FL as a DAW to also play by midi sound from synths like roland and Korg, as well? ..i just do stuff, handcode by mind and mouse to the screen, loops and things but, i am looking at it more close now, thinking to buy it. I am also looking at Reason and NI, so, i am in no hurry but, as a guitarist, I lack KB experience w MIDI tho, i had two years as a kid and understand piano basics

  • Truly amazing! I bet you spend dozens of hours of work on this one!

  • btw, this reminds me of 'The Surface Of The Sun - John Murphy' but sadly not as epic.

  • I keep getting told that FL Studio is not good for Mastering and to go with other brands to do all that...

  • @GAG4IT but THIS Remake is WICKEDLY good!

  • it's such an inspiration hearing this, and this actually shows what fl studio really is capable of.

  • This one gave me the creeps. Amazing job, man.

  • is this for free ? Can I download this for free? That sound's so great ! I like the movie and the ost too : )

  • those drums sound amazing man, great job

  • Man, you just don't quit do you? Another great piece of music. You did it again.

  • and they said fl studio was for beginners.....

  • @ThePencil901 nobody worthwhile in a conversation about computer music says that

  • @ZgtPe3PP3eRzzz oh but they do, they think fl studio is crap and that reason or logic is wayyy better

  • image line sent me here.

  • After you finish your rap, rnb and pop work you should score films !

  • This is the true meaning of art.... Love the remix man

  • too short ;)))

  • great!

  • You went in with this one. Keep that open mind about making music, don't let the industry narrow your views on doing what you love. (^^,)

  • nice job, but the golden question yet to be asked is how long did it take you to remake it? Because reverse-engineering hans zimmer the great is definitely a daunting task especially when trying to match his dynamics!

  • Great! keep it up and im waiting to see the making!

  • The cover is nice dude but you have to go deeper. Lol

  • I love your work. Please don't take offense. I hope you will show the making of (you actually playing/editing) this instead of showing the FL arrangement window. I do not need to know what you're using, nor your secrets, but I would like to see the creating process.

  • you're really talented! keep up the good work

  • Really nice music man, its inspiring. Been watching your videos for a long time, and you made it big, congrats.

  • Congratulations MDL. It's amazing to see you're progress during these years..! Yes you worked with good artists but covering this piece of art is amazing. Once again..Congratulations! Hope you get the best out of your talent in the future. In time you will be another Zimmer!

  • Did you mix this? The mix is great!

  • @moy0429 yes. thanks man

  • @MdLProductions You should do a mix tip vid.

  • can't wait to see the making-of video

  • I suspect someone will be trying their hand at scoring independent films next. Awesome Mason!!!

    ~Vince

  • AMAZING!!

  • dude your fucking talented I've been watching your video since day 1 and i can't wait to get on your level with this music shit.

  • Hey MDL, you should check out "Brian Tyler - Jaybird" from the movie "Lazarus Project." It sounds like this, very emotional, and i hope you can make something similar to it.

Trust me, its something you'd enjoy hearing.

Just listening puts you in deep thought...

But anyway, i also enjoyed the master piece you created! Can't wait for more!

  • Hey MDL, awesome job man, been on some covering of songs myself recently and it's so fun! just totally taking the inspiration of a great idea and putting your own custom twist on it. keep it up and stay up on those big productions, their sounding good.

  • Nexus Hollywod expansions on this beat

  • Gorgeous ... beautiful ... amazing production ... love your stuff.

  • Can we expect to see a full film score from you any-time soon?

  • Wow MDL, awesome job!! this has a lot of emotion dude. You'd be great at making epic/suspense music for movies and stuff haha.

  • This Is Amazing!! Did You Make it On Fl studio??

  • @Tavio509 Completely FL Studio, combining real and virtual instruments.

  • @MdLProductions It Would Be Really Helpful If You Could Do A Tuturial On How You Do Your Mixing Well If You Ever Have Some Spare Time That Is

  • @MdLProductions Well done. You could make a living doing original works, in my opinion.

  • @MdLProductions which ones are real?

  • @MdLProductions That's what the fuck I'm talking about!

  • @MdLProductions which instruments were the real ones?

  • @MdLProductions what do you recommend for mastering software? and what limiters/compressors do you use?

  • This sounds great!

  • This piece is such amazing!! Nice Cover my man! ;)

  • u r my hero....this is amazing

  • DOPE cover !! visit my profile if you're looking for sth interesting. ;D

  • great work, sounds very pro!

  • Another Level MdL''...... keep doing that amazing Job Bro '' God Bless You

  • This is so amazing! Im realy looking forward to the making of. I want to be able to do the same stuff in my future. Still a long way to go though.

  • Best song from the movie, and Hans is completely the man, best cinematic composer out there today.

You did a great job with this, how was working with dynamics for once compared to all the radio stuff with a dynamic range of 20dB tops? My only complaint is the timpani seems a little too open to really have it's tone ring out, otherwise though it was an awesome cover. Keep up the great work

  • That's fucking dope.

  • YEAAAAH I LOVE IT

  • I saw the title and peed my pants...surpassed my expectations!

  • Can't wait for the Making Of video. I've been curious about the percussion heard in soundtracks.

  • you're a king man

  • Miroslav Philharmonik or EWQL doe? lol

  • @MdLProductions I love your new song with MikE Posner! You are now all over the world in our radios! Good Job!

  • Why are you so awesome? LOVE it!

  • incredible!

  • Really dope Md! You should definitely do more original work like this, scoring for film would be so cool

  • love that you remade this, can't wait to see the making of video, there are so many different angles and depths to this track I think its astounding how close you've made it sound, awesome cover MdL

  • Can you show the song structure in next video?

  • Masterpiece...

  • fucking great work mdl, like always, haha. I was blasting this while playing COD, haha and then all the orchestral and drums came in and blew me away, had to turn it down, haha, so dope!

  • respect man! great work!

  • This is a wonderful cover! Nice surprise covering something from Hans Zimmer! of all people! He da man, and you da man! Keep surprising us!

  • This is amazing.

  • Great!

  • Not my style of music but props to MdL for showing some versatility. By the way, can I sample this for one of my beats?

  • I would have panned the big brass to the right but...

  • Can you please add which VST that you used for this track ? Thx it would help me

  • didn't heard an original song but anyway this cover is amazing !! will you make something like "making the cover" video?

  • simply amazing....

  • @mdlproductions Just curious, what inspired you to cover this track?

  • @Duffm4yne Love the fact that Zimmer mixes orchestral and electronic in his stuff, so I wanted to try to recreate his work to the best of my ability. Plus its so different than my work for Bieber, B.o.B, Chris Brown, etc. It was a huge challenge, but a rewarding process to learn with really great music.

  • MdL you are a god amongst men.

  • from where you got this sound is pretty good this is what im i'm calling music^^

  • @jika12 Hans is the man. I replayed this entire composition and added a few of my own elements to his piece. This isn't the original – though I think it's pretty close!

  • @MdLProductions Excuse me for calling u an idiot ,but come on this is 90 procent exact the same man ,proly a midi file or sometin but i dont understand why people waste their time on remaking a song that already excists instead making sometin new

  • @jika12 lol he makes his own music, a ton of it. Instead of hating you should probably go take some spelling lessons.

  • @UofM4Life08 ure an idiot and im not gonna excuse for that , i know he makes his own music ,so what im just telling the truth nothing else ,and he knows it , cause u know i compose music as well and this is an absolute masterpiece from zimmer that should be respected as it is and not lift on its brilliance .and btw dont judge my english man on utube .

  • @jika12 Zimmer did create a masterpiece but their is nothing wrong with making a cover. He is not taking anything away from Zimmer by doing this. Also, if you don't want people to judge your english don't give them a reason to.

  • @UofM4Life08 Well he is free to upload what he wants but its just my opinion is that it isnt any special to change a couple of sounds and upload it its nothing special about it even u can do it .

  • @jika12 There are a few good reasons why people remake others works. It's great to improve your production skills, try genres of music you maybe don't know much about but want to start making or maybe you want to put your own spin on something. In my opinion It's definitely not a pointless exercise.

  • @lmcmonies i understand where u are coming from but eeeh u know u will get better if u are creative and and really want to make a new projects, it is damn hard ,but u will learn nothing from changing a little bit from a midi file believe me it is waste of time,u know

  • @jika12 You'd be amazed at how easy it is to recreate a project with your own tools if you have the proper skills to do so. I've done it before... plus doing so makes you know you can achieve greater outcomes with your own music. So why don't you try it also... End of story.

  • @jika12 anybody can imitate music if you have a ear for it, it's called transcribing

  • @jika12 First off, instead of calling someone an "idiot" like you know them so well, please get around to realizing that this is a cover. Not everything is the same, and I give MdL props for using only FL Studio. All of the people I know always looked down when I use FL Studio and always telling me to use Pro Tools, Logic Pro, and other programs but I stuck with FL Studio. I find that every program has its flaws but please don't down upon an artist for thinking that he wants "respect."

  • @xAdotLe3 I agree, I've been using FL for over 10 years now :) I haven't found anything better...

  • @NocturnalLifeRecords MdL is someone I look up to because I know it can get pretty difficult recreating other songs and compositions. Using strictly FL Studio, you can recreate or make your own songs but trying to get something to sound precise can be difficult. I find at first FL Studio is hard to use but after a little while it gets easier. I'm not the best at using FL Studio but what I do know is MdL knows damn well how to use it.

  • @xAdotLe3 Of course practice makes perfect... you have to use your tools every day to become a master at them. If I can give you a suggestion is not to focus on creating videos of your FL compositions, it's just a waste of time. I did listen to all your work you have on your YouTube channel. "Night Lights" has a lot more potential. Take a track that you like and place it on the time line, synchronize the tempo to your project and then emulate it. Find my newer work on SoundCloud, link is on YT.

  • I love Hans' work.. You did an immaculate job recreating this masterpiece!

  • Some people you can tell were meant to do what they do in life. MDL was clearly meant to make music. Great job.

  • All I can say is Wow , the movie industry should call you up bro.

  • not many producers can reproduce Hanz,,,,good work

  • it is retarded how good you are, your a big inspiration in what i do

  • Amazing.. !
