I prefer the look of my mom's 2005 equinox, but these are growing on me. Hopefully these ones don't make the weird clunking noise that the 2005 models do.
It would be great for two kids. The next step down is a car, which is usable but not comfortable. The next step up is something like the traverse, which is about the same, but maybe a little bigger and more expensive. I'd say it would be perfect for two kids, though.
They're paying it back. Do you ask for all of your tax money back? It's not YOUR money when you pay it to the government. Stop bitching, you stupid bastard.
I don't care about the money, I mean it is the federal government haha... I've just hated gm for the longest time since I've known how shitty their vehicles are and get amused watching idiots like you get try and defend them
Yea but we didn't pay the taxes to save gm and Chrysler, we payed them to do programs that we need and to pay for the army and other such things, we don't need the government to buy a company unless it will be making a good amount of money, which gm and Chrysler haven't proven them selves as money makers recently.
Fair enough. I think that saving the American businesses is worth tax money, but I could see how other people could disagree. All subjective, but I don't see how people make any sense saying they won't buy a GM product because they used bailout money. It makes absolutely no sense.
I am all for american businesses, I only buy Ford. I just don't think that it is a good use of money when we are already in so much debt, but oh well, we will keep going into debt as long as I'm alive I'm sure. I think they should just convert GM factories into Ford ones and then maybe incorporate a few of Chevy's good car's and then it would just be one american company. Idk how well that would work but that would me my idea. Just drop chrysler... chrysler is the worst out of the big 3.
Yeah, chrysler is certainly the weakest link. I don't know how I'd go about solving the whole situation without going further into debt. . . Call me old fashion, but I'd be for putting up an automotive tariff on every asian nameplate. But I'm fine with the previous bailout's debt, but I would never be fine with them spending so much money on health care. Oh well.
Haha, the tariff idea sounds good to me, but then if we export anything to Japan, they might put a tariff on our goods as history has shown, but who knows. I don't think that would ever happen though.
Hmm. GM may have actually convinced me to buy from them with this redesign. It's kind of amusing that we in the US call this a compact crossover. Looks awesome and the mpg is pretty impressive for its size and horsepower. I've heard nothing but good things about the Malibu, so if this borrows heavily from it, giddy up.

i'm contemplating buying this... but with 2 kids, how big is that back seat??
rcossman 2 years ago
About as big as the old one's, but like the old one, the seat slides about 8 inches forward or rearward, so you get miles of legroom.

I'm honestly quite surprised with direct injection the power jump was so minimal going from the port fuel 2.4...
I aassumed that the purpose was for fuel economy only.
