  • How is it that in the exterior shots the water is no were near over the top , yet the dome still smashes...Lol :P no but realy i do LOVE titanic. (the true story)

  • even when the grand staircase is being flooded by water, you just can't take away it's elegance

  • que trageria

  • it didnt make sense the water coming through the dome because the water was not up to that point there yet. glass was not very strong back then haha

  • Those extras almost died in real life. The staircase was constructed in the same way the original staircase was which means it was held in place primarily by it's own weight. When the set was flooded, the staircase ripped from its foundation and almost crushed the extras against the ceiling and the railing above it. They cut that part out of course. They believe that it what happened to the original staircase as well.

  • 0:48

  • @BadUser20 A Building Panic by James Horner.

  • It was already flooded

  • the music with the crashing water was beyond perfect. it was Divine.

I rase my hat to James cameron

  • One of my favourite scenes

  • @kryhappy96 no a shoe from 1912

  • Was this recorded on a potato?

  • @Zichiable Looks more like a toaster recorded it.

  • nice render

  • thaaaaat

  • Slightly inaccurate historically since by the time the Grand Staircase was flooded Titanic had reached over a 10 degree list to port.

And, of course, in all probability the Titanic's bandsmen were all only familiar with the Anglican "Horbury" version with the exception of the two methodists (one of which was Wallace Hartley) who were also familiar with the "Propior Deo" version. Having the band playing the "Bethany" version that we're hearing in the background is bogus.

  • there in the devils triangle

  • well its obvious this is fake cause everyone died in the sinking so there is no footage

  • @NewVidsEveryDay Um. This is from the movie.

  • one of the sadest parts of the whole movie for me was when we see water covering up the clock on the staircase.

  • I played this level in LittleBigPlanet 2 on Playstation3

  • Originally right before the bit where the propellors rose out of the water, we would have seen Cora (the little girl who danced with Jack) and her mum and dad drown.

The deleted scene is on youtube, its a sad scene, even if it only lasts about 5 seconds.

  • This is one of the scenes that makes my heart beat harder. Titanic is on the second place of my 100 favorite movies of all time with all right, because when I was in the cinema, I was feeling with all the people on the ship. The music is so powerfull, makes me think of the emotion of panic and mercy.

I hope I never have to feel a moment like that or hear that music too.

  • The music just adds to the heartbreak.

  • Awsome video!!!! like it! keep up the good work!

only point is that the sound is less as good as the quality of the video.

you choose the right scene, its a very hartbreaking scene to see all these people drown in the glory of the grand staircase.

  • what the name the music 0:46

  • @antonius521 its; a building panic, from James Horner

  • Heartbreaking, this is incredibly sad :'(

(When the water pours through the dome, wouldn't the extras have drowned? It looks pretty powerful..)

  • 0:06

  • From 0:37 it's A building panic by James Horner, album is Back to Titanic. This part of the song starts at 4:00

  • I would like to know the name of the music that starts at 0:37. I've been looking for it but can't find it. Someone knows the name of it?

  • Oh my god...

  • @PhsycedelicPhish Stfu. What you just said was stupid. This was not a waste. You're a waste.

  • No matter how many times I watch this film, I can't stop myself from crying >< The soundtrack, everything argh I love it xD

  • i heard the staircase is not actually technically accurate being slightly larger in the film than it was in real life!!

  • @partygirl209 The staircase was made larger for the movie because people these day are bigger and by that i just mean we are taller and wider built than most people were in 1912 and so when you see old buildings everything seems to be scaled down including the door ways and all. that's because they were ever so slightly smaller and so if they built the grand staircase accurate then it would look to small compared to the people, but really they only added on 8inches which is just over half 1 foot

  • @clctitanic On top of that it was probably done to fit all that camera, lighting and other filming equipment.

  • saddest scene EVER! and if this video gets flagged I'm so srry! I'm on my iPod and it screwed up and pressed the wrong button.

  • this is one of the most heartbreaking scenes, also what's sad is the mom tucking her children into bed so they'll die in their sleep and telling them what heaven will be like

  • @akjadestar The kids wouldn't die in their sleep, the rushing water would wake them up and engulf them. The last few minutes would be hell as they drown in their room. The mother should have let them go in to the sea and freeze to death like the others-as it is supposed to be a peaceful death after the initial shock.

  • @TheWhiteKnight89 Actually theres a rather good chance that theyd have been killed as soon as the ship separated into two pieces. The room could very well have collapsed on top of them. Either way a terrible way to die

  • @brentybabes I'm pretty sure the mother wasn't expecting the ship to split-she must have thought the water was going to cover them. Still it's only a movie but i've actually heard that some passengers remained in their rooms on the real ship as it sank.

  • @akjadestar the children's mom should have taken her children to the top of the boat ( like what Jack and Rose did) because they might have a chance on suriviving. They might freeze to death but its better than drowning.

  • @akjadestar They can't die in their sleep. If you won't breathe during your sleep, you wake up. When you wake up, you're underwater. When you're underwater you can't breathe. You'll eventually pass out and inhale the water. Then you'll feel your lungs implode which is excruciating painful. Then you slowly die due to no air to the brain, the discomfort of no air, the discomfort of your heart stopping, and the discomfort of your lungs imploding inside your body. Ouch.

  • @sacramentolove FINE, ruin my idea then. :P kidding.

  • @sacramentolove Ok, ok, chill.

  • that looked s real!!

  • "Gentlemen, it has been a privilege playing with you tonight...." :(

  • @ganimed1976 very sad

  • the song is " a building panic " from the soundtrack

  • all becouse of one iceberg and an one leck...

  • Jhezz with 3 Holes The Water Rushes like a Tsumani!!!!

  • at 0:05 the guy is like OHHH F....

  • I knew the Behind the scenes!

  • 0:05, the dude is thinking, "HOLY SHIT!!"

  • how intense

  • john jacob astor is resighned to his fate in 35 seconds

  • My Class Is Learning About Titanic In L-A Class And I Have To Say I Have Loved Hearing And Learning New Things About The Titanic And This Is An Amazing Video Clip I Cant Even Imagine How Horrifying That Was, Just Watching It Makes Me Want To Cry.

  • 0:05 Do you not laugh anymore?

  • @Patrickinho88 wha u mean do u not laugh anymore???

  • if for some odd reason i'm not already crying by now in the film, this scene sure makes the waterworks start.

and uh, to continue the little conversation here, i would honestly rather shoot myself if i was on board the titanic when it was sinking. o; i mean, at least then it'd be fast. i'm terrified of drowning, and freezing in water that cold eventually feels kind of like burning to death and then you suffocate, so uh. RIP all the poor souls who died that night. <3

  • @ 0:04 lol the dudes like OMFG!

  • Powerful. It truly moves you. I hate watching this part. My heart clenches every time :'(

  • I'd probably take a piece of broken glass from the ceiling and slit my wrists...

  • @pemchem i hope you wouldn't...suicide is never the option, i hope you'd fight till the bitter end!

  • @MDkid1 really? when the water is freezing like that, and you can't reach the lifeboat? i'd rather die of blood loss than freeze to death or drown so...

  • @pemchem nooooooooooo don't do it....you must live till the bitter end! You must fight! Anyways, freezing to death is supposed to be pretty peaceful after awhile.

  • @MDkid1 ok maybe freezing wouldn't be that bad, but drowning....

  • @pemchem drowning is supposed to hurt when you initially inhale the water....then its supposed to be peaceful. Keep in mind though, that most people died in the water from freezing to death/hypothermia, not drowning. However, the people trapped in the ship itself, like in this clip, would have drowned. So sad!

  • @MDkid1 exactly!! if i was trapped inside the ship and was dead yet from drowning, i'd either let myself freeze or slit my wrists!

  • Holy crap if my mum and dad were on there I would be crying my freakin so badly i would wanna die for them thumbs up if u think aswell :(

  • I've only been on a boat once, and I thought it was fascinating, how all of that could float.I saw the Titanic exhibition a little while ago,and from the remakes of the rooms and the Grand Staircase,It must of been beautiful, like a huge floating palace!

It's such a shame they put their guard down..But they've learnt their lesson, now every boat must have life jackets and boats to fit everyone in.

Seeing this at the end of the exhibition,it made me feel a bit happier :)

  • I love this scene in the movie. Full of action. I assume we should stay outside and away from the windows.... I would be screaming my head off in there... :(

  • can money help you in this moment ??

  • the bit that made me cry the most is that they knew they were gonna die and there was no-way out :'(

  • 0:25. Clock is 02:15.

    5 minutes left. :´-(

  • It's like you want to look away, but you just can't, I bet that's how the people in the lifeboats felt, to have to hear their screams forever, so sad. RIP 1500 souls.

  • John Jacob Aster got crushed by a funnel,he didn't die in the Titanic's grand staircase room in real life.

  • @darthCJ2010 I think that's supposed to be Mr. Guggenheim.

  • horror

  • I've read a few true articles about titanic, and some men dressed like women to try to get on a lifeboat.

  • one of the most thought provoking scenes!

  • So sad, I love this movie so much. The Titanic will go down in history! <3 Im tearing up

  • Shit! I shouldn't watch so much of this before my cruise!

  • The terrible thing was, Captain Smith was on his last voyage that day. He would have retired after he made it. It breaks your heart to know the stories on board that vesse.

  • That must have been the scariest night of all their lives

  • @KingOystar Yep it was the scariest night for them, yet it must of been their "last night of their lives" for most.

  • the secrets of titanic(documentary) was on tv yesterday and James Cameron said that one time when they were shooting the scene with the grand staircase it broke of and almost crushed the actors, they showed that scene in the documentary

  • the woman screaming at 0:43 gets me everytime.

  • Damn and somebody actually falls on that propeller

  • lol he is just sitting there watching it! pmsl!

  • This scene gives me shiver :'(

  • this is my favorite part of the movie. imagine the elegant and staircase covered with expensive carpet and tremendouse dome was washed away. with a good accopanied music, it tears my heart into pieces. the best movie ever!!!

  • this movie makes me so depressed, yet, strangely, it REALLY makes me want to go on a cruise xD

  • oh my crud i feel so terrible watching this! imagine all the people who got on bored with dogs!! Notto be rude either but this is also my favorite part, especally when the dome explodes

  • @Frufrugirl13 who gives a fuk about dogs, seriously are you retarded???

  • Comment removed

  • @Frufrugirl13 SERIOUSLY? if I could choose a favorite part in the wholleeeee movie it's the very ending when rose goes back to the titanic and is with all the people who passed away on it...

my favorite part of the movie while titanic is sinking is when rose jumps out of the boat to be with jack

I always lose it (start crying) when the string quartet is playing that slow song and it shows all the people about to die, Mr. and Mrs. Strauss and that third class mom and her two little kids ):

  • @nikolapompikola Thats when I awlways lose it and start crying also!

  • I got chills watching this

  • 0:42 - 0:46 that's when the stairs floated. They just cut the scene where the stairs was exposed because the actors are feelin' it!!! I saw it during the behind-the-scenes of titanic...

  • 0:35 Eric Braeden aka John Jacob Aster aka Victor Newman on Y&R! Long Live the Mustache!

  • lol

  • 0:5 the guys face alwayse makes me giggle

  • not to be rude or anything but this has to be one of my favorite scenes in the movie

  • @NintendoDarkness2 actualy mine to. Despite the horrific surcumstances it should have been.

  • @NintendoDarkness2 LOL how is that being rude? LOL

  • @MDkid1: Because people are suffering and dying.

  • @Romeighla well be that as it may, and yes, its true, but it is a really well filmed part. it is also one of my favourite parts!

  • Imagine being stuck in that grand staircase with all that water flooding in, you're trapped, panicking, can hardly breathe without taking in water, drowning, and knowing full well you'll probably be going down, literally, stuck inside the ship. Talk about a panic attack!

  • @MDkid1 i probably drowned if i was there

  • @MDkid1

I just got that creepy rush up my spine thinking about it...

  • Nice! What Is The Name of the song when the dome implodes??

  • Hey, the song from when the dome implodes is in the titanic soundtrack which is called " the sinking " it is in some part of that song.

  • @clctitanic Actually it's called "A Building Panic"

  • The music is "A building Panic" to be more specific.

  • @chengaun "a building panic"

  • @chengaun It's actually entitled "A Building Panic" when the dome implodes. If you tube it, the part where this happens is about 4:18 minutes into the song.

  • @chengaun its on the 2nd titanic soundtrack cd, the cd is called Back to Titanic but the acual song its called A Building Panic and it is at about 4:40

  • @chengaun A building panic

  • @chengaun No, it's "A Building Panic" from the 2nd disc music from the motion picture. I believed that it was in "The Sinking" but it's not... :)

  • @chengaun its called:a building panic and the sinking mixed together

  • @chengaun I think it might be a building panic, with the tune of it changed slightly

  • @chengaun a building panic

  • @chengaun A building panic :)

  • @chengaun Actually, it's "A Building Panic" from the film's second soundtrack (there are two volumes)

  • @chengaun

    'A Building Panic'.

  • saddest movie ever

  • Whoa is it just me or the ship went down very very very quickly since it's already 2:15 am? She has to punge down, break, and then stand verical and sink in 5 minutes chrono!

  • What is the tune in the background? The beginning resembles "The sinking" but the rest is different.

  • the tune is nearer my god to thee

  • @clctitanic "A Building Panic"

  • @93JOV 0:00 "Nearer My God To Thee", 0:10 "The Sinking", 0:34 "A Building Panic", and then at the very end it almost goes into "Death of Titanic".

  • 0:05 i like the look on the guys face and he just sits there as the water rushes in

  • Yeah. The whole Guggenheim story is interesting. I also liked what he said "We're dressed in our best, and we're ready to go down as gentlemen"

  • 0:33

He didn't die like that. He was probably crushed by the first funnel in real life.

  • J.J. Astor was definitely killed like that (like Fabrizzio in the movie). I don't know about Benjamin Guggenheim.

  • @93JOV Benjamin Guggenheim was probably on the boat deck
