How is it that in the exterior shots the water is no were near over the top , yet the dome still smashes...Lol :P no but realy i do LOVE titanic. (the true story)
Those extras almost died in real life. The staircase was constructed in the same way the original staircase was which means it was held in place primarily by it's own weight. When the set was flooded, the staircase ripped from its foundation and almost crushed the extras against the ceiling and the railing above it. They cut that part out of course. They believe that it what happened to the original staircase as well.
An actual STARGATE/PORTAL-THING was caught on film in New Mexico. The footage can be found within the short-film entitled "SUDDEN PORTHOLE", which is parked at the PROJECT CAMELOT YouTube page (it's under the George Noory video).
I'm not selling anything…I'm just trying to spread the word about the unseen-dimensions we find ourselves embedded in.
My BLOG contains peripheral data regarding the movie and is where I reply to the "debunkers" (use search words "SAM ZURICK" & "BLOG"). THANKS!!
Slightly inaccurate historically since by the time the Grand Staircase was flooded Titanic had reached over a 10 degree list to port.
And, of course, in all probability the Titanic's bandsmen were all only familiar with the Anglican "Horbury" version with the exception of the two methodists (one of which was Wallace Hartley) who were also familiar with the "Propior Deo" version. Having the band playing the "Bethany" version that we're hearing in the background is bogus.
Originally right before the bit where the propellors rose out of the water, we would have seen Cora (the little girl who danced with Jack) and her mum and dad drown.
The deleted scene is on youtube, its a sad scene, even if it only lasts about 5 seconds.
This is one of the scenes that makes my heart beat harder. Titanic is on the second place of my 100 favorite movies of all time with all right, because when I was in the cinema, I was feeling with all the people on the ship. The music is so powerfull, makes me think of the emotion of panic and mercy.
I hope I never have to feel a moment like that or hear that music too.
@partygirl209 The staircase was made larger for the movie because people these day are bigger and by that i just mean we are taller and wider built than most people were in 1912 and so when you see old buildings everything seems to be scaled down including the door ways and all. that's because they were ever so slightly smaller and so if they built the grand staircase accurate then it would look to small compared to the people, but really they only added on 8inches which is just over half 1 foot
this is one of the most heartbreaking scenes, also what's sad is the mom tucking her children into bed so they'll die in their sleep and telling them what heaven will be like
@akjadestar The kids wouldn't die in their sleep, the rushing water would wake them up and engulf them. The last few minutes would be hell as they drown in their room. The mother should have let them go in to the sea and freeze to death like the others-as it is supposed to be a peaceful death after the initial shock.
@TheWhiteKnight89 Actually theres a rather good chance that theyd have been killed as soon as the ship separated into two pieces. The room could very well have collapsed on top of them. Either way a terrible way to die
@brentybabes I'm pretty sure the mother wasn't expecting the ship to split-she must have thought the water was going to cover them. Still it's only a movie but i've actually heard that some passengers remained in their rooms on the real ship as it sank.
@akjadestar the children's mom should have taken her children to the top of the boat ( like what Jack and Rose did) because they might have a chance on suriviving. They might freeze to death but its better than drowning.
@akjadestar They can't die in their sleep. If you won't breathe during your sleep, you wake up. When you wake up, you're underwater. When you're underwater you can't breathe. You'll eventually pass out and inhale the water. Then you'll feel your lungs implode which is excruciating painful. Then you slowly die due to no air to the brain, the discomfort of no air, the discomfort of your heart stopping, and the discomfort of your lungs imploding inside your body. Ouch.
My Class Is Learning About Titanic In L-A Class And I Have To Say I Have Loved Hearing And Learning New Things About The Titanic And This Is An Amazing Video Clip I Cant Even Imagine How Horrifying That Was, Just Watching It Makes Me Want To Cry.
if for some odd reason i'm not already crying by now in the film, this scene sure makes the waterworks start.
and uh, to continue the little conversation here, i would honestly rather shoot myself if i was on board the titanic when it was sinking. o; i mean, at least then it'd be fast. i'm terrified of drowning, and freezing in water that cold eventually feels kind of like burning to death and then you suffocate, so uh. RIP all the poor souls who died that night. <3
@MDkid1 really? when the water is freezing like that, and you can't reach the lifeboat? i'd rather die of blood loss than freeze to death or drown so...
@pemchem nooooooooooo don't do it....you must live till the bitter end! You must fight! Anyways, freezing to death is supposed to be pretty peaceful after awhile.
@pemchem drowning is supposed to hurt when you initially inhale the water....then its supposed to be peaceful. Keep in mind though, that most people died in the water from freezing to death/hypothermia, not drowning. However, the people trapped in the ship itself, like in this clip, would have drowned. So sad!
I've only been on a boat once, and I thought it was fascinating, how all of that could float.I saw the Titanic exhibition a little while ago,and from the remakes of the rooms and the Grand Staircase,It must of been beautiful, like a huge floating palace!
It's such a shame they put their guard down..But they've learnt their lesson, now every boat must have life jackets and boats to fit everyone in.
Seeing this at the end of the exhibition,it made me feel a bit happier :)
I love this scene in the movie. Full of action. I assume we should stay outside and away from the windows.... I would be screaming my head off in there... :(
It's like you want to look away, but you just can't, I bet that's how the people in the lifeboats felt, to have to hear their screams forever, so sad. RIP 1500 souls.
The terrible thing was, Captain Smith was on his last voyage that day. He would have retired after he made it. It breaks your heart to know the stories on board that vesse.

@Frufrugirl13 SERIOUSLY? if I could choose a favorite part in the wholleeeee movie it's the very ending when rose goes back to the titanic and is with all the people who passed away on it...
my favorite part of the movie while titanic is sinking is when rose jumps out of the boat to be with jack
I always lose it (start crying) when the string quartet is playing that slow song and it shows all the people about to die, Mr. and Mrs. Strauss and that third class mom and her two little kids ):
0:42 - 0:46 that's when the stairs floated. They just cut the scene where the stairs was exposed because the actors are feelin' it!!! I saw it during the behind-the-scenes of titanic...
Imagine being stuck in that grand staircase with all that water flooding in, you're trapped, panicking, can hardly breathe without taking in water, drowning, and knowing full well you'll probably be going down, literally, stuck inside the ship. Talk about a panic attack!
@chengaun It's actually entitled "A Building Panic" when the dome implodes. If you tube it, the part where this happens is about 4:18 minutes into the song.
