The coup in 2006 doesn't surprise at all. An extremely corrupted government doesn't deserve to remain in power. It's not that the King doesn't want Thaksin, it was what Thaksin deserved for what he did!

What do call the guy firing the gun,shooting a sling shot and the guy holding up the kings portrait while all the chaos is taking place.And the PAD punks who are beating up people with clubs destoying property.If I could recall there were guys talking about blood everywhere .I called that intend to do bodily harm or death.If that video was in court u could easily get a conviction on the PAD thugs.

You really have no idea. PAD did not hijack the airport. We simply protested peacefully outside on the main road. We negotitated with the authority saying that everything can be continued as usual, but they decided to use this opportunity to put the blame on PAD. And so they abandoned the airport.

And another thing, PAD never intend to use any kinds of violence, but yes, there were leaks. But the red shirts are lot more violent than PAD. Censorship in various free TVs is what keeps you blind.

30% 70% election was just a suggetsion and it doesn't take voting rights from anyone. Everyoen still vote but that only counts for 70% the other 30% are the votes of many other authorities.

About the elected govt...In the past, even up until now, most Thais do not trust the electoral process. They believe that the electoral process can be easily exploited by vote buying through the patronage system. They view the democracy as nothing more than money politics.
