Since when was resembling Animal from the muppets a bad thing? He's a wild artist, and the creative madness within must escape from him to us, and that is the art experience.

i dont know what you´re talking about. Imagine him playing this song twice a day (sound check and performance) for like 2 months. He was just pissed and wanted to quit the job for a second.
this is by far the best version of this amazing song ... the true meaning love that goes from crazy anger to solene sadness and pure desire... beautifull *.*
None of you non-musicians realize that his "tantrum" is more expression than show. The song is one of love, and through his "tantrum" on the piano, he is showing how someone in love goes crazy.
Well said. I don't see why people on here are getting so passionate about it, at least not in a negative way anyway, I was expecting some huge change in the last minute and a half of the song after first reading all the comments. I think it fits too.
Totally agree. Only someone with Tel's talent could really get away with that. It's the best thing about seeing him live. You just never know what you're going to get, so you can actually see him over & over & still be entertained.

I agree. the hitting at 2:20 seems so amateur. This is not some lame rock show or something along. I hear this kind of instrumental relaxing chill joy music to get me going through the days, to be happy with its tune in my head all day long. Too bad for the live performance. Id be mad if I had been there.
you know, being a musician in the 21st century has its ups and downs. for example, you have a lot of equipment and technology to help you with that was absent in the early 20th century. on the downside, as a 21st century musician, i will always have the knowledge that i will never be able to write a better song than this... ever.
c'est genial

You should look for information before crying wolf :
Sebastien Tellier, album : Politics (La Ritournelle is in it) 2004
Radiohead, album : In Rainbows (with Reckoner) 2007
I'm sorry but French people invented love :)

obviously it was just a break in the song to recycle that part and then start singing. not a tantrum. it was a creative break.

He's extremely stiff. Damn, this does NOT work! Sounds as though he is having a tantrum around 2:23 ~ and resembles 'animal' from the muppets.
