How to bowl a strike with a curve

I haven't bowled since I was about 7. My pe class is bowling and I am terrible! Definitely getting some practice in, my best game was about 70! What's worse is that both of my parents were on bowling leagues [before they met] and have both bowled 300.

i curve without my thumb and have a league avg of 210 with a high game of 289. never bowl under 180. like i said i been throwing with out my thumb for 12 years, i've perfected it , i can do anything that someone who uses there thumb can do

i dont bowl with a thumb either but i've been doing it that way since was 12 (now 24) and it can be very consistant when you know how to do it properly. i never gutter or never drop the ball like that. But before all you people start saying "but pros this and pros that" or mention anything pro. I have no interest of going pro or being pro and never have in my life. always bowled for fun why do you all try it sometime

Wow what a noob... I bowled against another guy who thought he was a good 2 finger bowler in league play. I bowled a 212, a 183, and a 232 and got a 627 series. He bowled a 160, 140, and 180. He gutter-balled a couple times and his ball was inconsistent. I only left one open in my series.

lol yea its called a "hook" when you use the 3 fingers... and a curve when you use the 2.. because when you spin with the 2 fingers you get an actual curve and not just a slight hook

this is a very good way , not to bowl a strike with a curve, but to INJURE your wrist...
