After I have fixed those two things, what is the right height for the cone?  Thanks for your help. Most people dont have true insight into these kinds of things, so you are a rare person to find. Please tell me more. I still have my design that you see in the video, and now that I know what to do, I will begin modifying it.

erik, you sound as if youve built a working model of what your talking about. If so, then by all means tell me what I need to do to get this thing working. I can increase the size of the outer ring by using magnets with larger diameters. I understand that if the inner ring sits inside a much larger outer ring, than it wont have to be so heavy. In my video, I am weighting the cone down a great deal so that it doesnt pop up from inside the outer ring. Your design may help to fix this problem.

Ive already seen that guys video and he did it wrong too...i know they wobble, but they do also spin..and you can do it with just one cone...i know alot more than you might think..thats why im letting you know what the mistakes were..I'll make my own video later.

erik, thank you for commenting. This is not the completed Hamel device, but only a small part of it. I would need to make 3 of these cone set ups and a few other parts as well. A youtube user named anandaadhar has built the complete setup and he has a couple videos of it here on youtube. Watch his videos. He doesnt understand unfortunately that the cones to not spin, but they wobble in circles very fast, and together create a collective vibration that is self sustaining. There is more to..

I think its awsome that you took the time to make the hamel device...but i think there are a few things wrong with the it..1st the cone appears to be too heavy..2nd the outer magnetic ring should be bigger..3rd atfer those things are corrected you would have to then position the cone to the right hight to get the right magnetic alinment

So, what is the point of your experiment. I have most of the materials that you mentioned, except that instead of a donut shaped magnet I have a flat cylinder shaped magnet with a hole in its center. In Jeane Mannings latest book called Break Through Power, she mentions an inventor that took two large 30 pound magnets, and placed them fairly close together so that they would be attracting each other. He placed hollow tubes in between the two magnets and placed iron ball bearings..

USE: 2 Magnets,(very stable any scale) a ordinary doughnut shaped magnet with a hole in the center, and a smaller cylinder shapped magnet (as long as it will pass through the hole of the larger magnet) Now glue the smaller magnet to narrow non magnetic rod, or soda straw. Now pass the rod/glue/magnet through the large magnet hole, on approuch ot will CENTER! Becomes very stable if your polarity is right, 50-50 chance right? Works upside down, and sideways. I'm poor, send magnets.
