sorry i play aion i am lvl 41 so cleric and i can beat easy 1 templar lvl 45 and little hard lvl 50 templar or gladiator ...a cleric is a healing and has a hard dmg strong, so with my cleric i beat easy templar,gladiator, chanter and even and assassin...
A good healer will always defeat a good templar, given the same lvl and same player difficulty. Its just how it is..Low dps vs Chain armor + Flash heal just doesnt end up very well..
the only time temps actually get good is once they hit lvl 40. Trying to take down a lvl 50 temp solo is just a joke. Dont even bother trying. Temps end game own
idk the graphics are great and interesting but he actual pvp seem to lack skill and flow, it looks like its a walk up to the person stand their, and mash buttons. Which is kinda weak.
Yes the PvP is just like L2, you just have to press a buttom and your character will run by itself to the target...you don't even have to walk up to the person. Other games have better PvP than this out there...however everyone should give it a try.

No they don't... Maybe they did earlier on but they got nerfed a while back and there's NO WAY possible for a templar to beat a cleric in 1v1 in the current game. period, unless the cleric is too dumb to heal himself.
Templar vs Cleric 1v1, cleric will almost always win, templars just arent meant to fight 1v1 because theyre dps just isn't that good and especially in this case, where the cleric can easily just cast heal and not even waste a pot while the Templar just watches.
It's probably because that looks boring to any wow player, wow pvp is hectic, that looks boring. Where is the movement? Where are the casts, where are the over-the-top animations? That's what im thinking.
Well, IDK how long you have ben playing wow but i have ben playing world of warcraft for 4 years since early pre bc. And personally PvP now in wow is all about class vs class. Back in PRE BC pvp actaully took skill because you actaully didnt have to depend on resiliance. You actaully had to plan and use a main SKILL called team work. Blizz took that out once they put Resil in the game. But yeah the pvp looks great, i'd like to some minor upgrades but the graphics are way over wow's

In aion the main purpose is to do group pvpve and a templar is made for taking damage and group defense. Cleric will own most all classes in aion for the only reason being that their job was intended to keep their group and themselves alive vs another group. Sorc, sin, and sm have a good chance at cleric Dont roll a temp if you want to win at solo pvp. Roll a sin, sorc, or sm or maybe even a ranger. Its the way the game is designed and its not balanced around 1v1 and its not meant to be.
Thats not completly true. I see you have very valid points, but... I played a level 30 templar, and i rocked groups by myself. Most of these templars don't stun or heal. I can take most sorc's, sin's and sm's without problem. I'm not going to lie i did die alot trying to take on groups of 3+, but i did succseed in many cases. With the massive defence i can last awhile, i havea heal and with a few pots, Sin's clerics sm's sorc's are easy. I'm also not saying i used pots alot. But in a case of 3v1
While I don't doubt your success in an encounter like that, it does not mean that's the way it is. like wise I've seen a cleric kill a templar, ranger and glad in the abyss at the 45 range. But aside from personal experiences, I was talking about what it would be like at lvl 45-50 end game pvp with equal gear not at lvl 30 when you may completely out gear a group of noobs.
it will all depend on magic resistance, hp, block, parry, skill timing and the ability to recognize the clerics skill animation/voice command.
to succeed against a cleric you must play very aggressively. disrupting the clerics healing spell is key and when needed, wait for the cleric to initiate a heal, then quickly hit a band aid or herbal treatment or pop a pot.. what the temp is trying to do is drain the mana out of the cleric faster then the cleric can bleed hp from the temp.
Of course a templar is going to lose in 1v1 versus a healer. There's nothing he can do... This game is about group pvp not 1v1. Eveen if he was the best templar in the world, there's not much he can do even with his bashes and stuns to stop a full a cleric from popping his health back up to 100%.
if u guys like watching pvp u should youtube watch the arena pvp tournament, its fuking madasss shit, the speed is increased and such plus u get to to watch how to koreans pros do it

well atleast you can enjoy the low lvls with other people, and the great great graphics. unlike wow, where i cant find a single person to party with at lvl 10.

Basicly if you've capped a character out on Aion things go ALOT faster the second time around (because you've learned from all your noob mistakes)
the fifth closed beta it took me the entire beta to get a character to 25 this last one though i got 3 characters to 25 over the beta (the betas mind you were only a weekend long).

chanters are more offensive u have alot of stuns and insane buffs that always stay there cleric/chanter are able to easily beat assasins/templars ( any melee class) and weak ranged classes sorc is the only problem they should have

It seems from playing the beta's that this game has taken some good things from all the games out there. Overall it's very enjoyable for me. I just hope the player base is similar to that of EQ, in terms of the friendliness. Not so much the "1337-ness" of the general WoW community. Players can still be skilled without talking trash to everyone they see.
Why the fuck does everyone piss off WoW... i bet most of the people who do it dont even play it, they just see other people doing it. WoW is better than most of the MMO's out there... and we all know it, there is still no game that can match WoW, i believe Aion is gonna be the one, but WoW is still A GOOD GAME!!!

I hope Aion is the one! WoW WAS a good game until they started dumbing everything down. It's true that a game shouldn't be so hard that it's impossible to play but dumbing it down so that there's no challenge really makes a game lose it's luster. When a game becomes as easy as WoW has you don't get that feeling of accomplishment when you gain something.

WoW, was great for the 3 1/2 years I played. But it seems to hold your hand too much now. It used to take much greater skill to be a good player. It's still great to see people like it though.

Actually I am going to record a duel between a lvl 40 Cleric and a lvl 40 Templar. Both equally geared. I will prove to you just how easy it is for a Cleric to completely and absolutely utterly destroy a Templar.
Chanters are beyond the weakest class... They are up there with clerics in pvp. Don't really know anything that can beat me besides a spiritmaster or assassin

the pvp element looks very rusty in comparison to WoW, i mean in wow you move a lot during pvp combat and that is what makes it skillfull and more enjoyable, timing CD's, interrupts, attacks. I hope this can meet that:)

Face Smash (the toss skill) can be obtained at lvl 31. And he was fighting mobs that were lvl 32. So he was prob lvl 31-33. He stood no chance.

I saw some calculations and if you would play like 8hours a day solo.. grinding or doing quests.. it should take you up to 10 weeks to get to lvl50.
and what I understand from wow these day's it's gotten to easy and boring (the leveling).

if your complaining about it taking a long time on WoW you werent around for vanilla WoW xD
Basicly if you've capped a character out on Aion things go ALOT faster the second time around (because you've learned from all your noob mistakes)
the fifth closed beta it took me the entire beta to get a character to 25 this last one though i got 3 characters to 25 over the beta (the betas mind you were only a weekend long).

lol your in for a surprise if u think that. Healers are some of the best pvpers in aion everyone can win in aion its up to your skills. Sometimes gear and lvl but in the end its all about skill which this chanter.... Hes ok, but he can do better.He can kite while doing all of his chains after smite and he shouldn't root until he got pulled.

chanters are more offensive u have alot of stuns and insane buffs that always stay there cleric/chanter are able to easily beat assasins/templars ( any melee class) and weak ranged classes sorc is the only problem they should have

It seems from playing the beta's that this game has taken some good things from all the games out there. Overall it's very enjoyable for me. I just hope the player base is similar to that of EQ, in terms of the friendliness. Not so much the "1337-ness" of the general WoW community. Players can still be skilled without talking trash to everyone they see.

Why the fuck does everyone piss off WoW... i bet most of the people who do it dont even play it, they just see other people doing it. WoW is better than most of the MMO's out there... and we all know it, there is still no game that can match WoW, i believe Aion is gonna be the one, but WoW is still A GOOD GAME!!!

and since bc - the first addon - the game become boring to me.
the difficulty is much lower than it used to be.
warhammer, aoc, lotro these are fail-games in my eyes. in aion i see a new star ... like guildwars ... well it was kind of boring, but the PVP was balanced ... BALANCED ... this is a word blizzard will never understand :D

I hope Aion is the one! WoW WAS a good game until they started dumbing everything down. It's true that a game shouldn't be so hard that it's impossible to play but dumbing it down so that there's no challenge really makes a game lose it's luster. When a game becomes as easy as WoW has you don't get that feeling of accomplishment when you gain something.

But then again, I guess it's human nature for people to expect things to be handed to them on a golden platter.

u guy`s get real i pvp vs a friend of mine me templar 32 she lvl 31 cleric i burn out her mana but she repot in duel i could win on cleric my lvl i make them burn all mp and overcome and win. to bad that templar didnt had some instant great hp recovery .Check the tournament between cleric vs templar vs ranger they are all lv 50 and see how much time that cleric need to take down the templar.dont rush reply so fast only from what u saw in 1 video

1. You are a cleric. The most powerful class in the current version of the game you are playing.
2. You jumped a Templar already fighting a mob his level, if not higher.
3. Templars are the weakest class in this version. Chanters come close.

Actually I am going to record a duel between a lvl 40 Cleric and a lvl 40 Templar. Both equally geared. I will prove to you just how easy it is for a Cleric to completely and absolutely utterly destroy a Templar.

Chanters are beyond the weakest class... They are up there with clerics in pvp. Don't really know anything that can beat me besides a spiritmaster or assassin

the pvp element looks very rusty in comparison to WoW, i mean in wow you move a lot during pvp combat and that is what makes it skillfull and more enjoyable, timing CD's, interrupts, attacks. I hope this can meet that:)
