I think the guy meant a 351M which is basically a modified version of the Cleveland.  The original 351C (Cleveland) had a hotter cam shaft-canted valves-higher compression ratio and I think only available from 1969 to 1971 in the Mach 1 Mustangs. A friend of my had a 2bbl. Version a 67' Mustang...They had both 2 and 4bbl. versions.. One of Fords better engines!!

Although I would rather have a 440 Magnum or 426 Hemi!!

I Got one of them it is a 1979 Ford LTD (Australian like this one)with a 351 5.8 cleveland V8 in it.Original. Great condition! goes great and is very powerful.Best crusing car ever built.(Mine is a sedan though)

Yeah, I saw this record in the Guinness Book, and I thought, "I could probably go faster than that". Sure enough, my 1967 Cadillac Superior landauette coach ran a 12.68 the first time out. That's what 500 cubic inches can do w/a 7,500 lb car.

how can it be a record when you look up drag racing times there are faster times recorded than this measely time, the motor in this car was only put in to make the run its not an everyday driver that this fairlane hearse is not ran like that all the time so check the facts i will put my buick against it any time.
