Yeah it's sad when historical architecture and landscapes aren't respected. But to blame this trend on "foreigners" doesn't necessarily stand up to scrutiny. Many responsible for disregarding the past may have ancestry stretching back to the Mayflower, and many ardent preservationists are descended from Irish, Italians,.and Jews.
And please, do NOT confuse the Pilgrims with the Puritans! Oh, wait, I'm responding to what is clearly a White Power advocate, and I'm expecting informed opinions?

The English Puritans created a prosperous society in New England. Unforunatelly, they were just to liberal. So, it is no wonder that their descendants let Irish,Italian and Jewish immigrants take over New England.

It is a bit sad to see our tasteful cities and quaint towns turned into hedonist slums and McMansion suburbs by these foreigners who only care about making a quick buck off of the society my ancestors founded. There wouldn't be an American dream without the English. At least we still have Vermont and Maine...
