Hey vball, This Canadian did a better then the Americans who original sang them, so your wrong. A Canadian can sing about American things:) go listen to the I'm on fire cover, better then anyone has ever sang it. That includes the american who original did. It maybe a cover, but Matt owned it! i remember in grade 7, my teacher was a old hippie biker, 250lbs with a massive beard and heart of gold. He brought his guitar into class every day and we'd spend 30 minutes each day singing old folk and blues songs. This one was my favourite. Great to hear Matt sing it so well.

@nfldman1976 Well, Willie Watson's voice is beyond comparison to Mat's - Ketch Secor isn't the best vocalist but he does it well. I was merely stating that Old Crow's version can't be matched, and thats due to the fact they wrote the song, they sing the song, they live the song. Mat's version is epic, but to say its better than the original is a little out there, without the original you have no cover. You can't compare apples and oranges, both versions have a different approach to it.

@ah233933 But they did... Bob dylan only wrote the chorus. and I think OCMS's performs wagon wheel better in my opinion. Matt has a better voice but old crow actual bring life to the song and they put more soul into it. Which is mostly because ketch actually wrote the verses. OCMS is from the south. A guy from canada isnt going to perform a country song better than them.

Also, we don't have any country roads, farms, or mountains...And a Canadian can...he just did...look at the video at the top of the page...he's Canadian and singing it...i just sang it...I'm Canadian.
