Thank you for making this so easy for me...your down to Earth, easy to follow instructions are exactly what I have been searching for. I was really nervous about getting a new bike but you have made me feel much more comfortable about the whole thing. On to part two!
this vid really helped me out. ive ridden 4by4s and i sorta got the idea on howta ride you know but ima about to buy a ninja 500r and ive never ridden a big bike before so this is a real good tip man. thanks alot!
Glad you enjoyed it. I will make a fresh one in the spring I'm hoping when I teach my new girl if she lets me. It will be a perfect video for new learners that don't think they can do it. She is the A typical,"I couldn't ever learn to do that."
That greatly depends. The same rules apply as to speeds MPH and down shifting. You also have to be attentive to the conditions of the corner tire pressure and temp of the rubber. It's a learned skil which is why I suggest a cheap bike and learning in the grass first.
hey i have a question.. when you are in 1st gear and you want to go up to second, do you have to lift the shifter up twice to get passed the neutral.. as in 1st gear - neutral - second? or is it half a shift to neutral? same with downshifting... do you have to press down twice to get from 2nd to first? and i'm talking about a sportsbike..
Most Sport Bikes have 1 - 6. Nutral is skipped when you pull up to second gear. when you down shift to first from second it is also skipped. But you have to make a complete pull or push to be sure it doesn't go half way into nutral.
Hey i was looking at your video and i have been thinking about getting a bike since the longest...i know i want to get a sportsbike but i dont what kind to get u know...what kind would you recommend???
Ugg, watch the videos front to end. Find the local class for a professional training course. or Buy a moped then a 250 or soemthing and in a couple years get a sport bike. Higly recomended. 1:3 people die after buying a sport bike the first year. *Unknown Source*
yo0u should be BLE TO JUST PULL UP. if t doesn't shift to second gear when you pull in the clutch and pull up on the shifter and release the clutch then something is wrong maybe or a weird gear pattern...
Hey thx for the video :) Your learning how to ride video is much more detailed than Mordeth13's. Just wished the quality was better. ahh well thats ok.
Ahhh, sorry to hear that. I guess it's good for you though. bewarned these videos are for entertainment purposes and any new rider should should seek a qualified professional trainer and safe course. A web search should turn one up in your area.
Well, thank you. I wish it was better. I will redue it again some day after I fix my bike. I get allot of requests to add more advanced riding tips. Wish i could teach more people in person.
LOL, yeah, us bikers need that simplicity kinda thing. I still have problems with that on and off switch for appliances and my computer. O is circut complete, | is circuit broken, or is it, | Circut complete, O Circuit not connected? OH man, I'll never remember that. DOH! Marge!
Holy Crap. Manufacture will replace it I think. Normaly with in 10 days anything and everything is replaceable. Sorry for your misfortune. I teach that your to watch your 360 degree surroundings at all times - especially at lights or stops.
Well, if it opens up a more visible area you can observer then it's doing something. Never used them my self. I know when I wear a jacket I have to peekaboo around my arms to see directly behind me. Fish eyes is what they are called i think. I've seen rectangle ones too. Every Simi Truck has one almost.
USA, a beginners permit can be had after passing a simple written test(25 questions over a brochure like manual.) You must then only ride during daylight hours. You can not ride any passengers. You must wear a Helmet at all times. Also must obey all traffic laws. After your 90 day period you can take the exam and get a full endorcement on your drivers card.
The uk you have to sit a cbt that entitles you to ride a 125 bike 2years.
to get a full licence you must pass the theory & hazzard test which is 35questions. you must answer 30 out of 35 correct, the hazzard perception test to pass that you must achieve a minimum of 44percent.then you can sit the practical test
Yeah, also ment to add that I enjoyed your videos, I have been riding my kawasaki 125 eliminator since June 2007 & I hope to pass my full bike test this year.
size restrictions don't really matter for young riders over here in the UK because our insurance prices are so ridiculous that we couldn't get insured on bigger bikes anyway
Very true Andrew & by what I hear in 2011 there adding more restrictions on getting a full bike lincence I just wished the law makers would make it harder for the car drivers make them drive a 1 ltr for a time scale after they pass, nothing worst than seeing a young boy/girl racer with 4 people music blaring in a car nearly killing all & sundry sorry for going off topic
That's great. Repitition before you ride is so imporant to progrma your mind. I really recomend somebody pushing you around for a while so you can get use d to teh breaks etc. Front breaking control is very important. Especialy in gravel!! and sandy pavement. Very dangerous.
I was told that it has to do with the youtube conversion as you just said, BUT that the ORIGINAL file format is what confuses youtubes encoders. Most people stoped having problems after changing the file type they upload.

Its called a clutch mate lol. If you say that people already understand if they ever drove a manual cage.

ZX10R as a starter bike.. That thing's track-bred, and 999ccs. That doesn't seem like a starter-friendly bike. To each his own? :\
But "X means 'No!'" killed me.

I thought that you had to pass an exam before riding (legally) a bike... at least in Europe.
