Also some of the effects seemed pointless and even more over done.

Example: The random square wipe transition at 1:49 (c'mon, really? that wasn't needed, you cut from a closed mouth, to a slightly open one? Not a good time for a transition scene like that.)

But aside from like 30 or so seconds of stuff I didn't enjoy, it was awesome. I liked a lot of the effects (the random color swapping was pretty sweet). And it was pretty well done, I'd say if you try again it'd be fucking perfect. (4 stars)

Yeah, I agree that some of the effects are over-done but it's not like the idea of leaving a couple clips without effects didn't cross my mind. I tried it and it just seemed that something was missing...But I really appreciate the constructive criticism. Most people will just say "THIS SUCKS!" and that's it. You took the time to put examples and even more. So thanks for that. =D

If you put it in HQ you might find those parts more bearable. xD

Well I really like the song choice and FF:AV, and the clips you chose.

But. Although you did some seriously nice editing, some parts were "over edited".

What I mean is, at some parts you added in so many random filters, video effects and such, that the clip itself was too blurred, covered or just generally really difficult to see.

Example: 1:21 and on for roughly 20 or so seconds some parts are just not clear enough and generally "over done".

Sony Vegas Pro 8.0. If you get it, make sure to get the Professional version because that one has the masking while the Platinum version does not.

You can just simply press "s" to split and it will cut the clip where ever you want it to. Then you just take another part of the clip and put it in front of that one. Rinse and reapeat until your AMV/GMV is done :D....then you have to add effects >_> MAKE SURE IT FITS TO THE MUSIC!!!

Nope, with Sony Vegas but it shouldnt make a difference, I recommend getting Sony Vegas if you don't have it by any means possible, it takes a day or two to learn but other than that its amazing. Clips don't take forever to import either and it doesnt freeze like movie maker.

No...you can either be legal and buy it or be illegal and torrent it (utorrent works best). BTW I use Sony Vegas PRO 8.0. Make sure if you do get it get pro because theres a another version thats not as good because you cant mask.

If you're not a noob ;). For everyone else, the newest version is $500, but it's a great program and easy to use. It's worth the money. They have a free trial as well.

btw. Windows movie maker sux. So if you're using it and you can't make awesome videos, it's not you, the program is just terrible.

The idea was good but the video was way too heavy on special effects. The video setup was awesome constant action  but you can't breathe and I didn't even notice the story. you can't focus on whats going on because you are constantly being distracted with special effects. So sometimes more isn't always better.

For some reason I cant fav t but, this is awesome anyway the sync with the effects was nice but I think you should try and not use so many random effects int he future it makes your AMV a it busy, although this was a case where that wasn't a problem nice job.
