How long will the little critters continue to attach themselves to these artificial reefs, when we are destroying the natural reefs? The BP oil spill in the Gulf has created huge plumes that hug the sea floor and eventually settle on reefs and habitat for crustaceans and mollusks. It appears to be a bad joke and band-aid approach to a serious problem. Only when we stop treating the ocean as a toilet, and stop over fishing, pollution, and destruction of habitat will we be able to survive!
