Now batting for the reds, Ken Griffey Juniorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! If he hadent gotten injured we'd be looking at the only member of the 800 home run club. i have no doubt in my mind. The best pure hitter of all time. That swing is so sweet.

Without those injuries Griffey would have been the man to hit 800HR's. In an alternate world Griffey is still playing the outfield, slim, in shape, and eclipsing the 800HR mark.

It is going to be very sad that we will no longer see Griffey Jr., (along with Adam Dunn) in a Reds uniform. If Junior were to go anywhere though, I am glad he is going back to Seattle where it all started for him. The future does look bright for the Reds with young players like Jay Bruce and Joey Votto. However, it is a shame that Junior did not get to win any championships in Cincinnati the way his father did with those great Big Red Machine teams of 1975-1976.
