  • Mr Chronic, Cobham is one of the best drummers, one of the most influential, plus he created a style that has been copied numerous times by many others. So lay off the drugs, and come back to reality...

  • who gives a fuck about terry b.

  • @mcoz747 We do!!!

  • My favorite Tony Song!

  • it's too good too much to handle

  • HOLY FUCK

  • wow. unbelievable drumming by tony..the 17 year old who re-taught the Miles Davis group how swing

  • what the hell? Miles' group with Jimmy Cobb and Paul forgot how to swing. Nonsense.

  • I didn't mean that they forgot. It's just that those two groups swung in completely different ways.

  • Oh my goodness.

  • Certainly one of my favorite of Mile's periods. This group was fucking raw and Tony had everything to do with it

  • His ride cymbal patterns blow my mind.

  • listen to that right hand!

  • WE MISS YOU TONY !

  • Seeing and hearing Tony is so cool. I wish someday I can play Jazz like that. It's BEAUTIFUL!!!

  • This quintet is the freaking best and I am just so happy someone had a video clip to share. When they went to Europe, one of the headlines read, "They played like GODS." I agree. This was in the late 1960's. Too short and very appreciated. Thanks This really made my day!

  • thats herbie and carter right?

  • oh yes :-) Ron Carter and Herbie Hancock

  • one of my fave quintets of his. i also like the one with zawinul, and the weather report gang

  • Yes, the Weather report is also an awesome project. Anyway the main person from the W.R. besides to Joe Zawinul is just Wayne Shorter, who plays here

  • yeah, wayne is amazing. anyone who ever shared the stage with miles was in a league of their own though. Miles' and zappa's musicians were always nothing short of amazing.

  • i feel the same way, because I notice similarities with Terry bozzio and tony williams. I mean, terry has that same energy, not exact, but enough to notice terry could have been influenced by tony. i don't know. I like early bozzio anyway. this new stuff he's doing makes me think he's not even the same guy.

  • Tony at a workshop said he dug Terry B's playing, so I guess you are on the right track.

  • Terry's main influence was Billy Cobham

  • bullshit

  • Hmmmm, so I guess Terry was bullshitting in the interview when he said he use to study all the Billy Cobham stuff, before getting with Zappa.

    (nxtgeneration of Jerkoffs)

  • Yes, but a person can have more than one influence, right?

  • @mrcronic I mean this in the nicest way...cobham sucks!

  • Tony is Insane!

  • damn it!!! why are the videos so short!!!

  • Ginger bread MAN

  • holy shit. this dope!!!!
