@MrGHRocker Some people are probably remembering the Cartoon Network series "O Canada", which in itself was compiled of shorts like these that were produced by the National Film Board of Canada throughout the past half century.
Has anyone noticed that the lady pigs' parts ("2 o' clock...WHOA-OH! Put on your best tux, honey! WHOA-OH! Don't want you lookin' funny!") sound too much like Glenn Miller's "In The Mood"?
There's some REALLY beautiful and brilliant animation of the mean bum cats and their evil reprise of "Get a Job". I also really like Bob Dog's "Nobody's gonna hire a WIMP" tirade. I'm just sure Bob Clampett is shining down from whatever heaven that is reserved for miscreant animators.
@superleviathan The eyes following Bob remind me of the criminals Daffy sees in "The Great Piggy Bank Robbery" directed by Clampett. The cat sitting on Bob's right looks very much like Pete from Disney cartoons.
i could relate to that dog person, before i was the only one in my family to not have a job but than i go to a training center to help me find a job! and on the ND Friday we get paid
I wasn't even born yet but this is some really good animation. I wish today's cartoons could have elements as this.

@HypercatZ It certainly comes crashing down in how that ends (I could just picture a crescendo moment there if they didn't cue the song in time).

How can Bob Dog afford to live in his apartment if he wasn't working?

I think they should have used the actual "Get a Job" performance by the Silhouettes, it just seems to fit better with the characters singing it.
